Hi LamentEntertainment first of all thank you for this awesome update.

There's a little thing I'd like to ask you. Is there a way to disable autosaving when you finish a chapter?
Or specify a specific save number? Or have the game ask you if you want to save or not?

Because, I made manual saves at the most crucial points , and lately, every time I finish a chapter, the game autosaves on a point that's already taken. And I end up losing the save and having to replay and save at that point again. I know the autosaving is done on purpose to avoid problems, but I end up saving exactly on the image before the chapter ends. So I always start over from there.

Anyway thank you. Cant wait to see the MC fuck the new milfy

You mean to tell me you found out your parents -and others- are cannibals, magic exists, your mom and sister are doing some very illegal sweet home Alabama sht together. And for some reason you are integral to this mystic bs yet when you ask questions nobody gives you a straight answer. And the mc is just like yeah its whatever what's for dinner?!? I'm locked in because I'm very intrigued where this is going but the MC needs a little more sense of danger and urgency for me

Yeah, this very thing has been brought up numerous times before, friend. And I agree! The MC in this game is without a doubt one of the most moronic motherfuckers on the planet, judging by his ludicrous naïvete and unquestioning nature. I know Lament is a good writer and all, so I simply figured he made a "judgement call" on how dumb the MC needed to be for the overall plot to, you know, work. This game is a "horror" one after all, and basically every horror plot out there hinges on someone being unfathomably stupid.

Again, I know Lament is a good writer, so what I'm spitting out here (about the "whys" anyway) are not facts, just theories, so who knows?

Simple answer: someone getting laid as often as that kid is would have a hard time getting all that urgent or anxious about anything. Living life in a constant state of afterglow is what (I imagine) being a total dope-head must be like. Either way the brain isn't functioning at a very high level.

OKay, it's been a while since Ive explained this, and yes, maybe its a bit TOO much, but itis still , originally by design, but...
The mc's lack of urgency, and his poor decision making(at times) is based on the fact that he has been a sheltered teenage kid, that has very little exposure to any real decision making, plopped into a world of women and girls that are all thirsty, (mostly, for lack of a better term), theres magic, cannibals, and demons, too add to that. As a teenager, hes meant to be naive to begin with, but add in the lack of world/life experience that even normal kids would have at that age, and that makes it even worse.
He's also getting used to incest, and accepting it as well.

His decision making has slightly improved over time, and lets not forget that there are some things that he is not aware of as this is often from a 3rd person perspective.
Just because we/you know something, doesnt always know that he does.

Anyway, I hope that gives at least a little insight, if not, its all good.

My dude, I don't know if people have talked about this yet, but you are too verbose. You need people to talk and talk, and then talk to other people about these talkings. I appreciate that you want to set the mood, but when you have several instances of characters not fucking because "it's just not the right moment," we know you're stalling - threading water. My suggestion is to tiddy it up. In Stephen King's book about writing, he says that any final version of a story should have at least 10% of all its words cut. I think your story would benefit from that.

Just an FYI: Arc 2 will be finished and wrap up with episode 19, and that will be a shorter update.
Arc3 will start in the usual cycle. so, no actual downtime between arcs, like last time.
the summary for episode 18 has already been written, just need to do the script. That will be after the next ashwood update, most likely.

I want to say i was not trying to shit on you or your game, him being chill just kinda threw me off. I am fully invested in both this and ashwood now i caught up to both in like 2 days

its all good. I didn't take offense at all. I think that sometimes when people self-insert, or get caught up in it, they may forget a few f the base things, or not realize these things. Sometimes its just a bit much as well :-D
