Sorry for late reply. Never got an email for this somehow.

The game literally takes place in Portland, OR. That it takes place in that location is relatively important to the plot and serves as a partial vehicle for how and why some characters are the way they are.

I haven't played the game fully but I'm seeing alot of "Japan" in this game, like the stores are straight out of Japan, there is an onsen. I'd assume maybe the explanation is in the game. But is there a reason there is so much Japan in Portland Oregon?

Sorry my real question was like why? You could just make a game set in Japan and have like American characters in Japan and have the same results? I just don't expect this alternate world building in a hentai game.

Hold your horses. The anniversary update with all of that stuff unlocked is dropping by October 7th.
Almost none of the CGs have hair/eye color variants because I realized how much extra work I was giving myself for a feature that few people will use and that won't be in the final release.

understandable, but it's a shame, I found the game fascinating precisely because it allowed so much variety that I hadn't seen in any of the other games of its kind, just the fact that it was possible to change the hair color was impressive, I didn't particularly expect such affection when I opened the game, the story is very interesting too, but it's acceptable, we can't win them all, the only thing that bothers us is the break in immersion due to the sudden change in hair color in the CG, but it's better to break immersion than not have nothing (but this detail doesn't change the fact that the game is sensational, it's clearly noticeable how much care they put into it)

That's the cost of being ahead of the curve in so many areas at once on a solo dev project. The coding necessary to create a VN in Ren'Py with CG variants isn't that complex (you're basically creating each variant as an overlay that's applied based on whatever variable/s are relevant) but it is a lot more time-consuming than a single layer CG.

That kind of variety makes more sense where that is the central conceit of the game, like if you tried making a game like TrapQuest in this engine. Plus, if you did have customisation, people would want even more based on whatever person tastes one has. You damn well bet if I am playing a run where I deliberately make the MC eat more burgers at every opportunity (blaring out my preferred route lmao) I'd want to see different CGs.

The game looks really good, a shame you can't choose the name. I understand why, I read what the author said about the whole Zach/Zachery thing. However my name happens to also work for the situation (has a long and short form). I thought to edit the script files to make the experience more enjoyable, but extracting the script rpys breaks the game sadly. (The text is also quite small, especially on android which is where I play more often. And as someone who doesn't have the best sight, this is also an obstacle for me) Self inserting is a big part of playing these games for me, (and while I know it's possible to do it even without choosing name, I'm not the type of person that can do it) so it seems like I'll be passing on this one. I wish the creator Goodluck with everything though

Edit: After a lot of extensive work I was able to make it work. I will enjoy playing the game now and give my review later

I didn't know this title, it's fantastic, I love this genre where the protagonist randomly transforms into a girl and how he deals with that, I will definitely try it.

Holy shit, this is great - the writing, the sprites, the music (awesome remixes of Iron Maiden/Offspring), wow. I sorta get why people say that it's too wordy, but c'mon, it's actually interesting to read, unlike a lot of other VNs on 95, the author clearly has some experience with prose and dialogue.

I'm working on it lol, but the lesbians get mad at me every time I commission more het art. For the record, I do have some yuri sex HCGs in the pipeline for the Britney route, but they're not nearly as polished as these and I feel like showing them now wouldn't be as interesting as showing them after I clean them up would be.
