The sheer amount of people here that don't know what a tech demo actually means is astounding. It's literally to show the tech capabilities of the engine/game. Some tech demos do not even have gameplay. whether it's 2 minutes of gameplay or 2 seconds, it's still true to form.
Tbh i would find this a valid argument if the engine used isn't so well known already .... or well featured on YouTube in terms of tech-demo's for that matter.

Is it really that weird to expect some forms of content (even if its only 10/30 seconds worth like the drone + sunbathing babe) on a engine that is as proven and tried as unreal ?

I'm quite certain a lot of people made a lot of air time with the drone, simply to try and get the best nipple view possible :p

It's a perfect example of how to create incentive for people to mess around with the drone, but for some reason the junk left over from the party was not used (yet did get mentioned) to do the same for character control\interaction .... missed opportunity imo.

Its not about content or how much play-time/game-play you get, its about creating incentive for people to try out said tech.

This is really awesome in terms of what could be.
Unfortunately anything that would make this great is nOT IN THIS BUILD!
Options -> not in this build
Load -> not in this build
MC says - "How are you up to"
Neighbor says - "My parents is out of town"
In what capacity do they have Tim as "Art Director / Generalist, previously worked on GTA game series"
is anybody's guess.
Problem is, there is no tech demo if you have no options - How or when or why would you asess a so called "Tech-demo" - with no options and with no load function is baffling.
Also -> conversation goes like this ... "She is really better than me?" - to which only possible response is "I guess she is" ... so the follow up is "I guess you better go to her". Story is not there, dialogue is not there, Load is not there, Options is not there, forest is not there.
Phisics are waay off, MC is some alien skin crawler.
Give it a try, should give a rough example of what happens with too many artsy guys and no writer, no game designer, no project manager to put the hammer down and demand common sense in putting assets together.

Ok, cannot get enough of swinging the camera all over.
Just found out MC has evolved into predatory K la w:

I can see great potential in this game. The framework looks good!I just suggest to begin with this house and make a good storyline like House Party.

That's pretty damn impressive for a tech demo, considering what kind of bullshit people are asking for money to "develop" on Patreon nowadays. Keep up the great work!

If this game is gonna be completed, it's probably 10 years later or something. Or it'll be small city with several quests and less then 50 interactable characters or something. There is no way they can go for content like this. At least porn doesn't requires story. Then probably, while these guys developing this, porn-game industry will grow and someone will make what these guys couldn't do for years. But in that case, at least these guys would be rich.

But especially after seeing Wild Life, I lowered my expectations about these high quality 3d games.

It's sad thing that bugs are considered normal things in games now. Thanks PUBG.

I made the count and... think:

3K for 5 persons... = 600 Dollars each one.. and i doubt they could live with 600 Dollars per month...

i don't know about the Economy of where they are but... at least here with 600 per month, you still Struggle (more or less, depending on your tastes...)
Exactly.
For example in most european countries, with 600$ (around 500 euro), over which you have still to pay the taxes (reducing it around 300 euro) you cannot even pay for a house of your own. You can live in an abandoned car and have enough to pay for food (but not good one), though. On the other hand, if that is your whole monthly income in most UE countries you will be mostly exempted from taxes. So you can rent a single room and pay for food.

Since their names, I have to suppose they have western origin. South America (Venezuela? Argentina?) maybe? I think that there that sum might be enough to have a lifestyle someway more solid.

About the game, I don't know. Tech demos make sense if you develop your own engine.
Here we are talking about unreal engine, which comes with some dev tools.
"I show you that I can make levels and import assets in this well known game engine, using its dev tools" sounds a bit too little even for a tech demo. Still nice eye candy, though.

The idea is great, of course. But it is one of those things sounding too good to be true.

Someone here cited Wildlife. This is exactly what comes to my mind too. With all the consequential considerations.

peoples dont get my point apparently...

i didnt talked about the amount of money -_-.
i talked about the fact they (apparently, if i understand good) will abandon the project if they dont reach the amount of money. or at least, wont release the next part.

its not about the amount of money itself. but when you start a game, you dont start it like :
"oh i m gonna make a game, and if it work i get rich, if it dont i just drop it"
that's not how to start a game...
you start it with motivation ( money if you want ), but you dont start it and consider to stop it if you dont get the money. because obviously, you not gonna get the money instantly.
that doesnt show the devs as serious peoples honestly. But more like some easy cash grab.

Well, I hope this does well. IMO, maybe starting off a bit too big- I would have started with a smaller area (say, 1/4 of the area in a Yakuza game) and focused on getting the base systems up and running, with randomly generated characters for variety, then worried about expanding.

I do hope there is MC changes in the future, as I'm really tired of playing games where I look like a 14 year old... I mean, really?

Um, it is very similar to deception. According to them, several people work on the game. But in the demo there are only free models from Daz3d, integrated into Unreal Engine with built-in game mechanics. To do this, do not need a few people, for this nothing is needed. Right now there is nothing in the game, but it already weighs almost 2 gigabytes, which means that they have no idea what they are doing (this is a problem of Daz3d models). I would recommend not to expect anything from these guys and not to be deceived.

They have a modeler, but there is only free models from Daz3d. They have a programmer, but the game has not yet implemented any unique mechanics (all that is there now is the mechanics of Unreal Engine). They have an animator, but the game uses built-in animations from Daz3d. They have "Art Director / Generalist, previously worked on GTA game series" , but be realistic, none of these people would not engage in something so low quality.

Nevertheless, I'll be glad to be wrong, but now it looks that way. Sorry for the bad english, it's not my primary language, but I wanted to warn you against fraud.

Nope, here in Argentina you still Struggle... most things for us here are like "For Rich People"...

Between the Taxes, the Medicine, Transport, Gas (GNC & Naphtha for the Car.. can be both or just Naphtha) if.. you have your own Car... , food, other services (Cable, Phone Services, PrePaid in healthcare, etc) you struggle with 600 Dollars...

In Venezuela for example.. if you want to live "Like a King" you must have around 2000 Dollars.. and with that? you could live if i remember, 2 weeks or a month.. in the best Hotel of the Country...

but things ain't easy there.. same here... on my case i earn 300 Dollars.. a Month (with luck)...
