I'm fairly sure they won't abandon the game, i'm not sure why i see many comments stating so. The level of craft shown so far is good and promising. There is no point to start the foundations of a game like this just to leave it out at the first obstacle. It's not some random Renpy/Daz3D story like many.
Again, it's a new developer that didn't proved themselves yet. We don't know if they are reliable, consistent or legit, for all that matters. Maybe they will be great. Maybe they won't. All i can say is it look promising. It's vague, sure, but i'm happy to see someone at least attempting to do something truly next level about lewd games.
Let's review this game again in a few months, when the first few updates will come out and how the devs have been going about it. Then we can have a more solid experience.
It looks astounding, jaw dropping - BUT IT IS RETARDED, IT IS BACKWARDS, IT HAD DEMENTIA ON TOP OF SEVERE SPEECH DISORDER. Just like a 14 year old girl that looks 21 and has nothing to talk about at a cock - tail party, or a venue, or a wine tasting, or a fund raiser, or a dinner. She can look great as a gold-digger on the arm of her suggar-daddy and that is it!
Most games have a story with no images - this has no story, no dialogue, no optimisation, no nothin.
It is as you would say - the scene between a man a woman a couch, a TV, under the nose of another woman. It is called anime, AMV, OVA, SWF, what a trailer -not a demo!- would be like. The video trailer being further developed than this -so called demo- just means it is a publicity stunt of a null game. There is nothing to this tech - what ever they called it - to even remotely resemble what a solo guy can make on a MUCH MUCH MUCH HARDER ENGINE - uNITY - the engine of small potatoes (just look up unity on the forum -[Unity]- and you will be amazed at the animationS! + storY! + dialogueS!).
I'm not sure what kind of bizarre rant is this but:
1. It's a tech demo, with barely anything to show yes, but it's not supposed to have a story yet. This is just to show a bit of what to expect in term of feel and gameplay. There is a huge difference between a trailer (Where you specifically place stuff, film stuff and do stuff in a controlled manner) and a actual free roaming environment where any players can do a very large broad of things. It is a publicity stunt, that's what a trailer is supposed to do. The beach and city areas that we see are probably barely blocked out, with no pretty much nothing in them in terms of quests, characters and stuff.
The tech demo show that they have at least a very decent amount of skills in Unreal.
2. What solo guy on Unity? Unity isn't a harder game engine. They both work a bit differently, but both Unreal and Unity are very similar and are known, commonly used game engines with accessible knowledge, assets and tools. Unity work differently, but isn't "harder".
3. Devs usually choose either based on their experience, preferences and needs. They both are great engines, with potential limited only by those who use it. I think it' stupid to compare both engines, since both have their pros and cons and their specialty.
