The last version had split paths for all of the incest related lines, and said paths have been fully removed from the latest version.

I guess if someone was feeling ambitious, you could use the script from the last version to add it back to the script through ep2 pt1, but starting from this update, you'd need to start writing your own dialogue.

The easiest way for the Dev would be to let the player choose the relationship in writing like most games do to avoid any guilt, if the player wants to write that the relationship between them is Male Combat Helicopter with Female Combat Helicopter he can, doing so would be so much easier than removing content

I wouldn't count on it. Most of the "unofficial" IC patches out there were usually made by the devs. Now that there's a proper witch hunt and risk of losing business, they'll distance themselves from any IC patch, no matter who much Unofficial and FanMade, and that's understandable.

It's also easier to make a patch if you only have to change the LandLady/Rommate values and set them to Mother/Sister. But if you have to rewrite a lot of dialogue to make the patch meaningful and continue doing so with every release, then yeah, any prospect of an IC patch is basically lost.

This doesn't seem to be a cautious pause to weather the current storm, but a fundamental perversion of original intent and direction.

While this is a pirate site, it does serve as a well-known and impactful discussion and search hub for AVN content. This means that the reviews and comments quite often have a non-zero impact on financial support for said games. Since there are a whopping 100+ reviews for this AVN and most of them seem to be based on the Ep2 pt 1 (and prior) content, the current rating is extremely misleading.

I know that it is extremely difficult to tie specific versions of an AVN to particular reviews. It would seem that the only way to rectify this would be for all of the people who made a review to go back and edit their review with a disclaimer similar to:

I am modifying my rating to X as of version X.X. My original review below was made before the dev bowed to censorship in favor of money.

Unfortunately it would take a sizeable percentage of original review authors to take this action for it to have an impact on the current false impression that the reviews represent. For there to be any impact on future content would require the dev to understand and acknowledge the impact that this site has on the visibility/marketing of their game and ultimately, their subscribers (i.e. financial income).

Oh, well. This is like me in the early days watching the Day-0 DLC and Battlepass bullshit start to infect PC gaming and hoping the majority could see what that bullshit would actually lead to. We all know how that turned out and it remains to be seen whether this censorship war will turn out any different with regard to how readily the consumers will truly vote with their wallet/support this time around.

Dev forgot to remove a whole lot of references to incest that weren't tied to the variable. Things like Chloe being a bro-con, and being attracted to MC specifically because he's her brother, MC wondering if he'll age as well as Miya because she's his mother, and MC not having to work, and outright stating that he is wealthy because Miya inherited a fortune, just to name a few.

There's still more than enough references to incest for Patreon to suspend or ban the game, even after dev's attempt at removing such content. Maybe we'll get lucky, and Patreon will still ban the game, and dev will move to SS and restore it to its former glory.

Just like Patreon, SS is beholden to the major payment processors, and thus must include the same prohibitions in its ToS. The difference is in proportionality of the business. The payment processors, despite their "Krazy Konservative Krusade", are still primarily driven by the almighty dollar.

Patreon is magnitudes larger than SS, or any other similar platform, and as a result, they can afford to ban every "immoral" game and still rake in massive amounts of money. In fact, they could ban all adult content, and still be the biggest subscription platform of them all. On the other hand, smaller platforms, like SS, rely much more heavily on adult, and "immoral" content to stay profitable.

The payment processors won't actually enforce their rules on SS, like they do with Patreon, because if they did, SS wouldn't be able to stay in business, and the payment processors would lose too much money. The ToS only contains those prohibitions on the off chance that SS will eventually grow enough "non-immoral" customers to become profitable while actually banning such content. Since most developers that get banned from Patreon end up moving to SS, the scale continues to shift more and more towards reliance on "immoral" content, so that will likely never happen.

Patreon is basically the payment processors' poster child for their "Krazy Konservative Krusade", making them "look good" to their "moral police" shareholders, while they continue to utilize SS and other smaller platforms to quietly milk the "immoral" content for its monetary value. As long as SS never becomes more visible than Patreon, they'll continue to be effectively overlooked by the payment processors.

Since most developers that get banned from Patreon end up moving to SS, the scale continues to shift more and more towards reliance on "immoral" content, so that will likely never happen.

You say that as if SS won't throw those devs under the bus when they eventually grow big enough, just like how certain companies who started out "for the people" eventually became the very corporate entities they used to fight against.

There's also the trouble of a chunk of the audience not following Gary even if he makes a full leap. Even with having an SS account, bigger devs like Caribdis still have a majority of their audience in Patreon, and word is that not a lot are willing to jump ship if he makes a full move due to convenience and security concerns (not a lot of people trust SS with their bank deets). With that said, a smaller dev like Gary moving full to SS could potentially be a death sentence, since current numbers might be difficult to keep him afloat (much less expand).

Not sure if patreon is cracking down on that but I know the MBML removed that feature.

Update was still amazing though. If people quit because of no incest then they're missing out
