I mean, the main problem is more that it was always in the game and got removed. And I think this is not specific to incest-fans, I guess whenever something people like gets removed they are not happy about it. Same with adding things. I am always for Devs doing what they want to do, because a Dev who is unhappy is a Dev who is not motivated and this means the game development will slow down or stop entirely.
But it was clear that his vision had incest in mind and there seem to be a lot of references about it still in the game which did not get polished out.
I can only speak for myself, but I dont need incest in every game, sometimes I even find it a bit tedious (since incest also always means slower progression with the respective characters). But since it was planned and implemented in the game and then got removed, I personally lost interest in this game.

Yeah, the slave-Tag is not really fitting with what would other games do with slaves, since here in this game it is more the point that slaves exist and while they can be actual slaves, MC does not treat her as a slave.

All in all tho, comedy was sublime as usual, the fat jokes got me the most, had me wheezing at a few points. Along with Miya dropping a KYS, that was gold. Miya was a bit all over the place character wise, probably my only complaint, but otherwise everything else seemed fine. Went down a bit of a DagonRonpa route with the facts and problem solving (god clicking moving text is cancer btw lol). But overall W update, hope to see the next one soon! Also stop cockblocking MC dev wtf.

Before the walkthrough on this site was updated (I started playing the game yesterday), I had to constantly check URM to see if I’d made the right choices which is so tiring since it doesn't automatically pop up the basic information for each choice in the game when a question comes up. Even then, I had no idea why I “managed” to skip the Grace bathroom scene or why the red light appeared after Cadence told her backstory (it turned out her love points were abysmally low). After installing the walkthrough mod and restarting the game today, I realized there were tons of choices I either got wrong or picked the low-point options for, but ffs some choices are just so confusing it would be a miracle to choose the right one on first try without walkthrough.

I haven't played non-incest version, but if the introduction remains the same and only dialog is changed then there are a few problems:
1) why MC lives with Miya, Chloe, Grace and Noelle? Even if it's not important to the story, it feels like we are thrown in the middle of something. Imagine starting the game from Ep2 part 2 - we are at the party, but we have not clue why are we there or who are those characters
2) MC is an ass. He lives with friend's family - that's fine. But after graduating, we just do nothing for how long? Half a year or something? So he's basically freeloader. Again, this could be explained with some backstory (maybe he is depressed, maybe he plans to start college/work soon).
While I agree that game as a whole works without incest, it's not enough to change a few lines of dialog. Now, we need some backstory for the MC, because even if it is isekai-ish story, MC's living condition have not changed

On personal note: I feel weird that on one side - incest is removed, but on the other we can engange in "mommy" roleplay with Miya. I don't know why, but it rubs me the wrong way.

Really, this is true whether he's family or not--which is why, with or without the i-patch, he self-describes as a "total fucking loser." He does account for how/why he came to live with them, but I don't recall the explanation (edit: in the spoiler below).

Moreover, in some sense this isn't really MC's world, and by extension this isn't his family. That probably wouldn't be enough to get around any platform rules, but until the start of the game, MC lived in a "normal," magic-free (as far as he knew) world--and as it's set up, he would have known; even the dull know it's out there (and that they're in the minority). In his world, there are no elves, no slavery, no catgirls. Suddenly, he's in a world where all of those are present. Miya, Noelle, Grace, and Chloe are there as before, in the same relation to him (or a former version of him, or the guy he replaced, or whatever), but also know about magic, so they aren't the same Miya, Noelle, Grace, and Chloe.

To anyone whose saves aren't working anymore, I managed to restore all my playthrough with a simple trick.

If you saved at the end of Ep2P1, you still need to load the affected save with Ep2P1 build. Then, roll back until this exact line (it's not very far), and overwrite the save.

Start the game now with Ep2P2 build, load the save and you'll be redirected a bit before that, just after you commented on Grace's dress. It worked with all saves for me, so I hope it does work for you as well. And don't roll back before you enter the new episode, otherwise you screw everything. Cheers.
