It seems like you forgot to enter the dark cave guarded by the cyclops. Inside, you should find someone important. Afterward, sleep at home, and you will then be able to enter the forest.

I just started playing today and freezes when I go to the original castle. I'm stuck and have to exit the game and load my last save.

You may want to examine the premade porn animations in your house before you start just giving away free advice that wasnt asked for. You may be pleasantly surprised at all of the hard work the dev spent in preparing for this game. Just saying.......You may then realize whats taking up all of the memory.
