just guesswork on my part but i think the original plan was to have the story in 3 games.First two have been completed why this one ends on a cliffhanger, however it seems like something has gone on with the team that works on this series of games and now the third one which would fully end the story has been cancelled. Either that or the dev thought it would be funny to troll their discord as they have been silent since making the comment i screenshot and posted above.
It should indeed be marked as abandoned then and someone should report it to steam so they get removed from there.
I actually liked this game too. Hopefully the dev gets his head out of his ass and finishes the game but oh well this is the fate of almost all games here anyway.
