That tends to be heavy correlated with poor story development, as most complex stories require events in a certain order, which renders the open world concept annoying and useless.

My guess would be the earlier update we'll get will be between the 15th of January and beginning of February.

My rule of thumb is first Sunday after the 20th. Monday instead if likeblondes get delayed, but he tends to inform.
Just so you know, there was at least one release on the 19th, but my rule tends to work quite well in practice.

well, hopefully the story is just starting. But overall, development has advanced in my opinion. MC has not one, or two but at least 3 powers. An important part Sharon and Andrew's past was revealed. Mommy is back and ready to stir the pot. MC is trying to figure out who he is, Laurie started showing jealousy, Sharon falling in love, some conflict between MC and Sharon is starting to show, Carmen is clearly going down the path of falling to dark pleasure.

Too much information too soon would kill a lot of the fun. Here is an extreme example of how fast you could kill the thrill by revealing all to fast (sorry if it sounds a bit agressive, when I wrote it it was to someone making very ridiculous complains way early in the development). And yes, I am a self centered douchebag that quotes himself to make a point

Imagine how interesting the game would be if it went like this from the first moment:

"ok pal, you are the vampire queen secret grandchild, your mother was lost to a war thousands years ago, your brother is the one pulling the strings to have you killed cause he is afraid of your hidden (not anymore) ability of turning people into puppets, so when he appears pretending to be your friend, just play along instead of putting a sword in his chest, please, otherwise your eternal life could be summarized in a paragraph just like I did. Finally, you will marry Sharon, who will play hard to get but cant actually resist you and Laurie will become your mistress, cause, surprise surprise, she is in love with you, duh!
By the way, don't forget there will be a dragon pet in your third year of undead existence. You will name him Alf."

I also think the development is nice. Laurie develop behind the childhood friend with hidden love for the MC. She beginns to show unique feature as a real persona and not as some MC +1. Sharon and MC develop also, although I still believe she needs to change/develop her own behaviour as well as her behaviour to the MC. Carme story also beginns to unfold - I know Ayhsel already written it.
Astrid and also fatsy Archon will be back for sure, probably that Astrid will make a move when we will visit the Prince for the ceremony of Sharon receivment of her new title. And Calisto and her cohort will also make their move, yet I believe most of them will be done in the dark, same goes for Fatsy and, to a lesser degree, for Astrid.
I also think that we will see some of the other cast again, like our old boss at the club or even our old landlady.

We have 3 powers that have special icons, but for those unfamiliar with the source material I will tell you some of the others we know of.
MC has the ability to attract a mortal's interest without them even looking at him (presence)
MC is much faster than any of the other folks in his coterie. (Celerity)
MC has some type of vision power (psychometry, or advanced Auspex)
MC has more heightened senses than the average vampire (he found Astrid when Sharon had no clue) (again Auspex)
MC has the three powers that we have icons for, only one seems a straight forward (Obfuscate)
Whispers appears to be a form of domination with mind reading tossed in, with a sort of permanent glamor or charm component.
Claws- not protean. These claws are something more than the wolf boys have. (Markus states) Additionally, while all vampires can boost their strength, dexterity, and stamina using blood, in developing Claws, the MC also seems to have some Potence thrown in as evidenced in how he tosses Andrew aside, and how even though it is lesser than the feral, he is able to hold off the feral better when he has Claws developed as well.
Our MC is a low generation prodigy and I have gone through all this a number of times elsewhere along with the likely clan types and powers of a number of the non main characters.
So again, even though we are hopefully very early in the story, we know quite a bit.

2-Couple of points regardless of source materials...
A-We do not really know the location, but we know it is most likely somewhere in America. Since Merrick pointed out that the Ancients would be in the Middle East somewhere, it is possible that Vision Girl was transported by her followers and buried under the city to rest and to set up her infrastructure... or possibly just rest and is NOW setting it all up. The latter is scarier for everyone, as that will likely mean that a big shake up is coming up in the city and surroundings.
B-If Momma is powerful enough to sire such a kid, and power is proportional to age and generation of the blood, that makes Vision Girl more of a scary thing. While both Momma and Fabian have an interest in the MC, and the Archon is hateful of Sharon and the MC is just kind of a side gig then it can be assumed that only a very few are going to have a clue when the shit hits the fan. Fabian knows without a doubt how powerful Mommy is. Does he know about Vision Girl? I don't think so, but hard to tell. Will Lord Carius be able to spend some time around the MC and figure things out? Or were the things he needed to attend to so importantly partially inspired by his sensing the movements of chess pieces? Markus, the only Elder to really spend much time around the MC (even though not even much) was able to figure out that folks probably should not be so disrespectful or dismissive of him. Good times.
C-Who is the "He" that Vision Girl wonders if her boy will be strong enough to defeat? No one we have already met. Pretty sure MC can toast any of them. I am still going with either a lupine or whatever super elder is roaming in the woods near the hospital in Scottsville. What if Merrik went running to find the Nos hideout, ran into super thing, and is being held prisoner to draw our MC into a fight?
All interesting.

4- Almost definitively, the thing Mommy wants to visit in Scottsville and finish what was started is not sex. She wants to thrall the MC. The Blood Dolls is not to pump his pecker, it is to be a good host to her while she visits. Blood Doll applies equally to male and female blood bags by the way. I know a lot of you desperately want it to be sex. Maybe she will have sex with him while sharing blood, but the goal is not sex, it is to thrall the MC. This makes Sharon thralling the MC a defense mechanism, especially if they are both thralled to each other. However that will simply make mommy mad and she will kill Sharon, thus ending the thrall condom, and proceed to feed our boy his next 2 doses.
4-Astrid has Gregor. Sharon is going to come around to eventually asking the right questions. Then a war will be on between those two that really has already started. Sharon thralling Astrid would be reaaaaaaaaaly sweet.
5-Carmen. She will either willingly thrall herself to the MC, as his very subtle presence is working her over constantly, or he may embrace her to save her life when the Coterie gets attacked. Likewise Andrew is likely to become a Vampire from Sharon to save his life as well. Laurie maybe, maybe not. MC loves Laurie and does not necessarily want to damn her to vampirism. But on the other hand I doubt he will let her die. This would create a powerhouse of a basis for the MC to rule from.
Anyway, that is enough musings for this evening.

You're absolutely right, however to her defense a noobie Vamp claiming powers left and right is unheard of to her therefore it makes sense as to why she's so dismissive of him.
