I told Virgil it was a feral Nos. Markus didn't react. I am betting, and this is just a gut feeling, that the feral was his sire.
That was why he sent Merrick to verify that was who it was and to steer the group away. Seeing as how Rambo toasted the bitch into a pile of ash... he failed.... Now if you do not have claws developed she runs in frenzy flight mode from the fire and out into the wilderness. The supposition is she died in the sun, but honestly, I prefer to see her turn to ash myself. If she has any other powers like melding into the earth all protean like, she can avoid the sun. If she finds a cave, or large hole in the ground she has claws to dig in deep and cover up.... so I prefer Rambo doing his thing, AND telling Virgil AND most likely pissing Markus off because I think it is his sire, or maybe he is relieved since vampires lost to the beast are supposed to be hunted down. Wights are what they call them now

maybe. In my case I just didn't want to lose an ally, especially when the political game is about to go down. Markus was an ally in Laurie's trial. so he deserves a favor even if he doesn't ask for it. The feral's identity can be discussed any time.

what really intrigues me is what happened in this update in Sharon's meditation chamber. it looks like MC has the option to develop his powers into two directions: the stealth one looked more like he dematerialised himself, that would explain why he couldn't hold it for long when he could cloack himself before. The second choice looked like a battle trance or wespon affinity, but what's peculiar is that MC commented how the axe felt weightless.

Ok, that's it. After a sleepless night I've decided to go for it. I'm getting my rule books out of the boxes and start research for future game development. I mean the whole shabang (as "inspiration", of course). Mage, Werewolf, Changeling, Hunters, Vampire, Promethean. Heck, even Mummy maybe. There's too much inspirational material for awesome stories to not go for it.
I'm already a software engineer, so there's that too, although renpy development doesn't seem challenging at all.
I'm not sure about the renders, though. Maybe I'll have to hire someone for that, since I'm no designer.
And, on the plus side, I've already wrote an urban fantasy universe based on all of these (and others) and will use it as a future setting too.
I'm so pumped! I think this game actually might have changed the course of my life. I've long been searching for a project that I would be passionate about, as being a corporate SE is always the same - big boring stuff for big companies to make more money. I'll keep being active on this thread and I'm very open to suggestions or anything. I haven't touched those books in almost 20 years, so I have a lot of catching up to do and most of you guys seem very familiar with the lore.

I am pretty aware that going a Full Vampire Game is really too much. I do here just mindgames, cause I really liked the Games, and talk about possible Storys or anything that may be.
This Game is inspired by Vampire but I don´t think this will be nearly so Complex and big like the RPG. It is just great to talk about other things with People as Big Breast, who´s the hottest chick, and who has the biggest Dick out there.
But to understand Vampire you have to know round about 5 Core Books and nearly 10 important and 20 minor Rulebooks.
So this will be quite too much for a VN Game, so all we do is just thinking, dreaming and guessing. I don´t think that the Dev will stick to the Rulebooks he just use them for inspiration. So I would not be surprised if the MC will get shadowly Tentacles or a Warform later on. But my dips go more to classic abilitys like Flying, Transformation into animals or controlling Animals.
And I really like it that my rusty 10 year old knowledge of the System was polished up. After some here point out that my Memory was wrong I read quite a lot on some Sides like Whitewolf Wikki etc. And find quite some interesting Informations.
So I thank all People who give me some hints and share their knowledge.
Well to get back to one of your points, though it is not a part of the VTM source material it is a part of the Greek myths that Calisto was cursed with a bear form, so yes animal forms can well be a thing and also a start of the explanation for the claws or even a possible werebear form in this game's lore.

Also Arigon , ever tried Wicked Choices? The tags might have put you off, but if looking for a big overarching story game set in a world that is not very kind then it would be right up your ally. :p (besides if likesblondes or Ptolemy would need some more background on some ancient demons the writer of that game would be a great contact for them likely. ;) )

It was a short Serie of ca 10 Episodes. And yes I liked it too. But I think it will desilusionate me if I look it again. If I remember it right it had cheap Special Effects. Nothing more then glowing Eyes and Plastic Teeth.
But maybe Netflix give it a rework, it seems like reworking old series is totaly in at the moment.
yes it is, cheaper and easier to make remakes than totally new movies/tv-series. maybe even this gets adapted to tv-serie.

I find that more plausible than a Werewolf in the forest attack incident. Even in Crinos form it wouldn't be so fast and in Lupus form wouldn't do that much damage. So yeah, something along those lines, or maybe a Gangrel with absurd Celerity levels?
Not sure.

You all, of you lovely WoD nerds, do certainly know, that this is only inspiration and not, as others already wrote, the Bible. And even the Bible leave some room to interpret.

As much as I like to read your thoughs of WoD and how this can be that and not, I often do not see how it benefit the game discussion much. If MC have this trait on level x or this trait on level y or even something completly different.
You see, I do not walk the WoD path (yet) - And on this side note, I would be very much intrested to enter this world of pen and paper...

I think, that the academic interpretation of the Rebitrh characters and how they would be if they were created according to, and only to, WoD rules, shouldn't be so prominent.

Also on a side note (not to be the deputy) only to state it as fact: The users here were warned, form my knowledge, more than ones, that discussion of WoD isn't the prime focus of this thread. And from one Mods, I know, that they try to uphold the rules, yet often doesn't have enough time to search for ever little breach of protocol. So, only because no Mod has recently taken any action doesn't mean that all things here would be conform to their rule book.;)

From what I've seen in the last 15 or so pages, most posts are just linking the game events to possible WoD lore that could have been used as inspiration material. Of course, we, WoD nerds love to discuss lore and stuff, but I think that most of us are aware that this is not the place for it. Although I'm not privy to all the rules, at least from what I believe, there was no breach here. But I wouldn't know. I, for my side, will try to tone it down to minimum levels, keeping it as obvious speculation, and maybe hidden under spoiler tags to make sure that this discussion doesn't bore those not interested in WoD lore. Maybe that would be a good solution for all of us? I mean, the game is being discussed, and there's just speculation on possible materials used as inspiration, that's all.

Disturbing note- So the site displays certain advertisements based on your interests and or searches. I am ok with that... What I am curious about is what is scrolling on my screen now...... a rather chunky chick, who is getting used heavily, and sprays whipped cream everywhere mixing with semen and drinking it down.... I will be the first to admit I am a filthy fucker, but I have no idea where that particular ad came from..... o_O
Fret not. I've seen that ad as well. I just prayed it wasn't based on cookies or previous navigation and was just a... Common porn ad

Forgive me I'm playing the last update actually a little before it and I have to questions if someone is bored and kind enough to tell if they know.

1. Is the difference known if you expose that it was a nos before Virgil?
Nope and there probably won't be until they visit the Nos Lair.[/ispoiler]

I agree with Tserriednich'sNen completely here. I read through the code of the new update and can confirm that this never comes up anywhere in the latest update, and it likely won't come up until we meet the Nos again, especially Markus.

2. What does the second stage of thrall entail?

I discussed this previously here:

There are two potential direct after-effects. The first is that she gets even more tightly blood bonded the MC, and her desire to please him increases. The second is that she could start picking up a milder form of his vampire powers. In the inspirational material, enhanced strength was automatic, but thralls could learn to enhance any of their physical abilities, including healing, as well as other non-physical abilities possessed by the vampire providing the blood. Enhanced healing, enhanced speed, and direct physical ability enhancement burn vampire blood though, leaving the thrall with a huge hunger for more.
And if I recall correctly, this is the third time the MC has fed Laurie his blood, so stage 2 is likely a full blood bond at this point.

Tia for anyone who wants to school me a tad. :)

Yeah, this wasn't clear for me too. At first I thought it was a higher stage of addiction, as was mentioned (that she shouldn't take his blood more than once per month) but now I'm questioning myself. I don't remember the rules in the inspirational material, but from what we can see in the game, one thing for sure is the extended/eternal life, since Rambo hasn't aged in 30 years or something. The other would be slightly enhanced reflexes and some speed and strength, since he mentioned that he's killed vampires before.

Thank you again.

You can very strongly want to please someone and still be sassy about it. As long as the MC doesn't try to use Laurie's blood addiction to break her will she should be fine. I think Andrew and Sharon are going out of their way to ensure that Laurie adjusts to her new craving and doesn't start acting like a junkie. I suspect some of it is also based on the assumption they have that the MC and Laurie will look at any desire she may have for greater physical intimacy with the MC as illegitimate and undesirable the same way that Sharon and Andrew look at any desires for greater physical intimacy Andrew may have for Sharon.

In the inspirational material, vampire blood is known to amp up a mortal's sex drive significantly, and when added to the blood-induced infatuation they have for their domitor, their domitor tends to become the primary target of their sexual fantasies if they match the thrall's orientation. Finding ways to redirect a thrall's lust becomes important to a long-term master-servant (or mistress-servant) relationship given that most vampires aren't interested in sleeping with their thralls.

Sounds good to me, again thanks for your time and input :)

thats my fear as well as it could backfire in no time, the mc and the rest of the group need to improve their combat skills quickly
