I'm somewhat late to this party, but I'm glad I stumbled across this gem of a game. The story is engaging, and I'm liking the way it's moving. Aside from the occasional spelling error, it's well worth the time, and I went ahead and added my support on the author's Patreon (something I rarely do, as I'm on a fixed income). I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.
Yes, seems it is no longer displayed in EP3. Since I use the small info screen from the audio/cheat mod anyway, I didn't miss that button at all. So if you still want that infos I recommend that mod for you, too.
Enjoyed the game so far, but when I go to finish episode 2, there is no mac download link. When I try episode 3 with the save transfer fix in OP after putting it in my game folder and it still tells me that I need a save from episode 2. I dont get asked to replace a file when adding the transfer fix to the game folder. Should I rename it to something specific so it can recognize what file to replace? (Im on mac)
Artemis obviously care about MC. But I am not sure why... I don't think she will go "I love you my child so much, become my lover, king of vampires next to your own Queen of the Damned".. but I think she sees us as something important for her.
I really hope she can become a love interest eventually, though...

My take is she wants to use us to get rid of some other players like Callisto or comeone else, and that's why she advised us against the ancient Nos or whatever that thing in torpor is.

In which situation did you miss choices? Implementing choices just for the sake of choices is not good either. Yes, this VN has few choices, but it's also a rather linear story. In my opinion, Rebirth is good as it is. More lewd content would be nice, but anticipation is half the pleasure.

From what I understand, the choices will steer certain future choices in the game. Also choices made earlier have to play out. For instance, you only have so many chances to gain points for Sharon to save Laurie. My guess will be that saving Laurie will either mean that Sharon loves you so much that she dies instead of Laurie, leaving you with Laurie, a pissed off Andrew, Carmen and Gregor, as well as the Nos alliance in your corner, along with, I guess, Calisto...ORRRRRRR Laurie suffers a mortal wound and neither you or Sharon know how to really embrace, I mean we as players know the mechanics of it, but I am sure there is some mystical component or at least mental stuff going on, and so Sharon will embrace Laurie. Any other choice of saving Laurie would frankly be kind of boring.
That said there are other choices that have to play out. How much does Carmen really want Astrid's head? What is Sharon willing to do to Astrid? What is Virgil going to be doing both in front of the camera and behind the scenes to track down Calisto? What game is Vision Girl playing? What is the Princep going to do with you? Even he has to be able to sense that you are not someone to dismiss. How is Fabian running Calisto's offense and defense in the coming game? What are Cindy and or Kassandra going to be bringing to the table.
All of these items really have to play out a bit before we have choices that matter. I suppose we could choose to start draining Gregor and Carmen nightly to present Sharon with a boner to tempt her, but meh, it is not a temptation. The blood sharing is so much more thrilling and addicting than sex. I suppose we could make an ill timed choice to pay the Southern Archon a visit and see just what he is made of, but that is a pretty poor choice without Andrew in full Rambo mode, Sharon, Carmen, and Laurie all ready to roll.....
We could and will be making choices regarding Kassandra's club. What percentage we charge etc. We will be making decisions about other vamps we allow, such as the Nos presence and possibly finding Merrick alive in the Nos safe house. There will be decisions on further using Miri and gaining more taint, choices on new folks, who to thrall, who to embrace, do we ask or do we just do it. Do we push Sharon harder or do we take a more gentlemanly approach and a host more.
So I would not fear for choices. Chapter 3 in a 5 chapter book would indicate a building overall chapter, with a minor side climax (sic no pun intended but maybe Ayhsel can tell us how he ends Astrid through orgasms) as well as the last chance to introduce new enemies into the fray, as well as new allies. (All according to how to write a book and not fuck it up-soon to be published by ME lol) So it will be an eventful chapter.
Chapter 4 should then be about further building to the final confrontations, some zinger introductions which could be good or bad but will definitely be zingers. It will be about the questioning of our own power, and probably a reveal from Vision Girl of what she expects from us if she has not already done that. We will likely have to make our choice of diablerie of Calisto (as realistically only ourselves and (in my guessing game Virgil her first child-my opinion only) have a chance of doing it. Our chance would come when we have her in Scottstown in a sharing blood moment and we push forward and drain her as it is a very compromising moment, and would not involve a very poorly advised fight against her)) That may in fact be a part of Vision Girl's game.
Look at this rationally. We have had more interactions with VG than with Calisto in reality. Yes we have Calisto's blood, which may be VG's blood as well or may not, but VG is the one who said to remember Sharon was not our real Mommy. What is Calisto was the vessel, but not the real Mommy either? What if VG is our real Mommy? As it would be inconvenient to impossible for her to embrace us in the flesh, depending on where she is, Calisto may well have been her descendent that she chose to embrace us, with the idea that her time and usefulness to us would be best served to be our ticket to true power, so we have a chance in aiding her in the combat against whatever threatens her? What if Calisto, who made the statement that she gave up on the church through boredom and could do the same to us, has angered the center of this church, the torpored rising Inanna/Artemis.
Sorry if you read the spoiler and didn't really want pretty definitive knowledge. More is coming below so beware......
Anyhow I believe that Inanna/Vision Girl/ Artemis/ Aphrodite is our true Mommy, spiritually and possibly blood line wise, though through another vessel. I think we are going to have to face the absolute expendability of all of our current associates, and invest in the ones which help us the most, and distract us the least. Even Calisto does not seem aware of a larger threat as she is merely stirring things up in the pond where she is the great white shark and all others are minnows. The vision of her consumption of Sharon, may be the thing which pushes us to choose Sharon over Calisto and Diablerize her. We may have to serve her some in the mean time, but the visions we are having are important, and they do not seem to be figuring largely for any other vampires but Frank, since it seems to be an unknown power.
Finally I think that in terms of choices, we will be seeing some fruit from earlier choices, new choices which affect the build up and side climax, and also which affect the end game positioning.
We do not know if there will be a follow on novel, but it seems likely. Especially if we have the level of commercial success that those guys need to continue on. I know that Ptolemy has Alexandra going, and that is also a damned good story, thank you Ayhsel!!! If you like the type of story, with more sex, mega violence, mobster and monsters, check it out.

The path of the vampire does have choices, but literally it has a fairly unified beginning and a fairly unified ending.
Beginning- you are turned in some manner to an inhuman monster that feeds on the blood of humans to survive.
Ending- you are still feeding on others to survive, or you are truly dead
So in that, it is linear. Along the way are some webs. Usually these will result in the death or survival of others that you as the character are fond of to some degree.
Lewd content- There absolutely will be only lewd content that is an element of building the story, and absolutely none for the sake of lewd content which most of the adult novels on here have. This is not a porn novel. It is a vampire novel. Yes there is sex to some degree depending on the genre of the vampire lore. In this case it is White Wolf's Vampire the Masquerade. In that universe, sex is the means to an end, not an end to seek. Our dumb ass MC is discovering this, but is still transitioning from human male (stick my dick where ever I can) to a Vampire Lord (if using my sex can somehow improve my power, or bind thralls with my blood, then so be it, as long as I get some blood so I can really enjoy the process).
We as humans can not really envision why sex wouldn't be important, but maybe this will do it......
Case 1- I use Oxycodone to get a nice feeling of being high, but am not to the point of over using it to the point of death
Case 2- I straight up use Heroine to get so fucking high I feel like a god.
For a vampire, sex is Case 1 watered down.
For a vampire blood sharing is Case 2 cranked up to heart bursting levels.
So I think there will be some sex to come. Carmen most likely, Laurie possibly, Sharon long shot, and Calisto will use it to get us to step 2 of a blood bond to her. Zephir almost no chance God DAMNIT! Kassandra maybe, but not sure why, Cindy not happening. Vision Girl.... depends on if she has to fully wake up and fully get active. We might well be the only vampire left in the city if she rises completely. If she does, she might have sex with us, but only as a tool to slip us blood to bond us to her. She will not go half way on this, she will either bond us completely or she won't fully wake up.

Hi Arigon I really enjoyed reading your speculative posts. However, I would disagree that the Vision Girl is the ancient Mesopotamian goddess Inanna usually associated with love, beauty, sex, war, justice and political power; and although she was sent to the underworld but came back she is not associated with vampirism. Artemis on the other hand is purported to have blessed Ambrogi (after he was cursed by Apollo and Hades) to have, amongst other things, eternal life, great speed and great strength, and the ability to use blood to sustain him (making use of everything from the hunt ...).
