upload that copy and and press ctrl+f and search for SharonSavesLaurie and set the points to 9 if i remember correctly Sharon saves Laurie if you have 10 points in that variable but then you have to replay from episode 4 update 2To be honest people are being pretty unreasonable both those who are up set about the update and those calling people entitled.
The last two update were handled poorly in terms of how they were distributed. Giving people an update that 100% content if laurie's in the game and another update that is 100% content if laurie's not in the game isn't a smart way to make updates. What this means is large wait times PERIOD regardless of the path you took and no one is happy when an update comes out with no content for your given path.
It would have been just as easy to give each of these paths 50% of the last two updates, so that everyone gets something. What we are seeing is the problem with "Real" choice and "real" consequences in games. Here we are seeing large periods of waiting for content to be released with your specific path that is just with 1 significant choice with two results from the choice. You add in a second significant choice with just 2 options and you now have 4 possible divergent paths that means 4 path that require content which means if you are releasing update by path you now get 1 update of content every 4 updates. This balloons way out of control as this is expediential math.
A 3rd significant choice results in now 8 paths, doubling with each choice and this assumes you just have two options per choice. This is why most game don't give you many choices that are significant and that most choice eventually lead to the same place because it isn't sustainable to write 2 or 4 or 8 different stories for the same game. It is far better to give the illusion of choice especially in episodic releases of content as development always grinds to a halt otherwise.
The developer is going to have to think about honestly consolidating the narrative to get releases that progress the story each update or the story will become more and more difficult to develop as the story progresses.

Much of the content, including the sex scene, will only be available if you unlocked the " Secret Whispers" power in the previous episode. And that's what we're hoping to get a lot of feedback on. The sex scene. We said, we'll be looking for your input on that, and we mean it. Should we add animations?"
I downloaded this update, and there was nothing new. It immediately ended, saying it was the end of the episode. I then went to read the changelog, to see what I was supposed to be seeing. I don't remember what the "secret whispers" was. But, I assume since I had nothing new that I missed whatever that was.
Laurie was turned to a vampire in both of my saves.
The changelog hasn't been updated in ages. As you posted, the last entry was for Episode 2, Update 4. We're on Episode 4, Update 4.

Still doesn't change the fact that the update was for Laurie's final death path and not her undead path, so only new things for all of you, if Laurie is final death.

I am not sure how someone can be confused about the two most defining qualities in the past two updates.
1- Laurie dies her final death because you were a dick to Sharon.
2- You romance Sharon and she care about you so much and does not want you to feel that pain of losing Laurie forever, so she does the only thing she can do, and turns Laurie to a Vampire. This costs Sharon a bit of her humanity and demonstrates a love for the MC.
Fuck even on the I treated Sharon like shit path, she is willing to finally give you everything, but you turn it down most properly, by saying "not this way".
Uncle Arigon has predicted for a long time this moment was coming.....
Now for somebody who posted a long exposition on the evils of pathing. The developers are well aware of what faces them, and a lot of the future updates have shared content for both paths. There was no way, in the time they had, to do both of these choices in one update, so I guess my response is you just have to deal with it.
There are lots more opportunities for death coming. Whether ours or a follower's or someone else.
Some of those, we won't give a shit about, and some of those matter a great deal.
Now those wondering about inane shit like how much of a difference Laurie will make in these fights....

Carmen is more of a battle babe than Sharon, lack of vampire body aside. When she becomes your thrall, I imagine she will hit harder than Olivia did in the Laurie lives path.
For what it is worth, my canon save is Laurie is a Vampire, romance Carmen, give Astrid to Mommy, did not fuck Mirri thus no soul stain- I may go back and redo that at some point but the rapey-ness of it seemed a bit off for me thinking as a not quite adjusted vampire. Of course if Arigon were actually the MC, I would have totally spunked on her and gotten soul stain, but I am a Sith Lord in real life lol.
We are going to get a couple more powers, I am 99% sure, and I am very excited to see what they are.

And that still doesn't change the fact that releasing updates based on path choices is foolish and is only going to anger people. An intelligent way of releasing that last two updates was to give 50% of the content to each path so everyone gets something each update. And this only gets worse add in another significant choice that has real consequences and now we have 4 paths and if the dev releases things along path releases we have to wait 4 months of content of your given path and that assumes that the next choice has only two options.
It is pretty easy to miss. And i don't know why people are surprised people are annoyed. How would anyone know what triggers Lauries' death if you don't use mods and don't do multiple playthroughs? I'm not saying the implementation of the variable that determines lauries' death is bad, i in fact think it was better to make it a series of choices vs a single choice. I am just saying it isn't obvious that this was the case, which again is a good thing not a bad thing in terms of writing. And given that this is a porn game trying to get in a character's pants is going to be the likely majority option. So most people are not going to be aware of the lack of content in update 3 for lauries' death. Because most people likely tried to fuck Sharon and thus treated her well and that would result in Laurie being saved.
The story was well done the distribution of the last two patches was stupid because it was guaranteed to upset people. I didn't even know last patch gave no content for laurie's death path because I normally just download a patch and play. i only know this patch isn't bugged because when I got zero content I looked up what people were saying about the lack of content. This didn't have to go this way either as patch 3 and 4 could have both been 1/2 laurie lives path and half if she died no one would have had to have gotten zero content.
