This is awesome update since it represents whole game in a nutshell. Ending threads without explanations, adding new ones without explanations, criptic MC's talks about nothing, mostly filler scenes with no added value to a story. Even on Rebirth's standards it was pure chaos and nothingness...
Miles brought to home after visit at Princep's place but then he's just gone. Why did you put so much effort on building "killing Miles story" when at the end you just acted like nothing happened? For me from the start this thread was stupid but well, "let's wait how it ends", and as usual it ended without any explanation/conclusion/real ending.
Then we got bunch of useless dialogues, I don't believe even MC knows what they are talking about, there is even 7 months time jump to add even more chaos. This update didn't look as ending at all, there were no conclusions, no old threads endings, no explanations, no nothing. Just added even more questions and even more useless dialogues saying nothing really.

There seems to be a mistake somewhere;
Maybe something went wrong with import? I did use walkthrough mods from Zoey Raven though.

Not sure what people are complaining about. This chapter advanced the narrative to the point where our protagonists are attempting to protect themselves through securing power, knowing full well they are sitting on something that could easily wipe them out. Totally makes sense, in a nihilistic, vampiric fashion. I'm looking forward to Chapter 6.

so I'm just starting this game, but have a question... are my options really only either treat Carmen like absolute complete shit, or fuck her? I want to solo the Sharon path, but I don't want to have to treat Carmen like garbage either. Are those my only options?

You are natural enemies and she is only useful to her hunter pack even just as bait. You can use her as she is supposed to or ignore her like watching a shark in a tank in a mall while you immagine how it will turn into a meal once the real sharks of your small pond of a town will buy it and eat it.
There is no moreality to using her any other way than her status quo. She is not evolving or denouncing her ways or learning a new path in life, is she?

You can do a solo-Sharon path if you wish, just know that there is no penalty for the MC sleeping with other girls. Sharon doesn't seem to mind and you will still have every chance to have sex with her. So, if Carmen (or any other girl in this game) is also pleasing to you, I see no reason at all for passing her up.

cxx don't get me started on Cindy... between her and Laurie, I would just drain both of them dry and leave their husks to be carried away on the wind.... I can't imagine putting up with the both of them together in the same house!!

I remember an old scene, maybe in episode 2 or 3, where the MC went to visit Calisto angry and screaming, and when you tried to threaten Cindy and raise your hand, she resisted, and the game implied that she had more strength than you.
That made me think that she was another "daughter" of Calisto, only older, and in the end it turned out that she wasn't even a vampire.

Oh, and don't badmouth Laurie. Out of all of the characters, she is the one that is most deserving of sympathy. First she has to be enthralled because the MC could not keep his mouth shut (understandable, considering the hurt she was in but still...), then she is turned by the one person she pretty much hates.

I disagree. Sure, MC is to blame for telling her but she was stubborn and persistent to know it at all cost. Then she did exactly the same mistake as she couldn't keep her mouth shut in front of Astrid so she brought death wish on herself.
Later all her hatred towards Sharon was completely unreasonable (and exhausting to read), she had exactly ZERO reasons to be hostile towards her. Sharon basically saved MC (her only friend), she told him not to tell Laurie (so she could live happily), she saved Laurie from Marcus' goons (took her from apartment and then asked Nosferatu for help), she was treating them as equal (protecting, sharing house), she told her own thrall to take care of her. Laurie's behavior was annoying as fuck for couple episodes and I'm glad at the end she was more reasonable in her doings.
ps. I forgot that Sharon also literally saved her AGAIN in the cave by making her vamp and Laurie still was fucking ungrateful brat after that.
