It makes you wonder, doesn't it? How much of what the MC has been told are lies?
With Elizabeth's father being an unreliable witness, can anything he said be taken as truth? For all we know, everything is set up, including the letter and Elizabeth's death, to manipulate the MC. It's even likely that Bob is a willing part of it. I don't think he made a mistake when sending the MC to that private detective.

If we're talking about organized manipulation, that could make sense. Tell your target that he has a daughter who's a young adult, then put a young adult in his path who looks like the mother. He'd be immediately more softhearted toward her.

deleted the file since i was not initially aware of the walkthrough lines errors. Which did make me think why there was a change.
Anyways, the file is back up.

100% agreed with everything you say. Emily is my favourite as of right now and the only option for a serious relationship I see for the MC, but I agree she's very likely a spy and, just like you, will drop her for Evelyn once she shows her true colours. Evelyn may be a poor romantic option (cheating wife, duh), but she can have some great fun with the MC, and unlike the 'ex-family', she's roughly in the same age category, meaning they understand each other better.

Both of my parents have blue eyes, as do I. But my siblings have green and gray eyes. I'm the only child with blue eyes.
I know somebody is going to be a smartass, so that person can just shut it! All of us children have an uncanny resemblence to our parents and we get told we look like each other all the time We ARE all from the same parents.
The real reason for why Emily can't be the daughter is because there would then be scenes that confirm blood relation between her and the MC, and scenes where the two are fucking each other, which is undeniably incest.
That would mean the distributed version of the game includes undeniable incest as a story element, which is fundamentally vastly different from some word changes in dialogue.
That will not happen, because the game is on Steam and other platforms that ban incest content.

Good point. Do we assume the MC knows Bob well enough to know when he's lying? Bob seems like an idiot, but I get the impression he's a grizzly acting like a teddy bear.
On the other hand, maybe the detective Bob told the MC to hire really was a fluke? It's too bad this was never really followed up on.
There is a missing link somewhere, I think. There are too many coincidences.
Being a red herring is a reason.

That is why there is search, instead of making it harder for people to search by saying that word, use search instead. Also, in user profile make your search settings are sat to most recent.
