It looks like it's having an issue with some specific menu code that I've only had an issue with when I tried to recompile the game using a Python 2 version of RenPy. I was trying to get the game to run on a reeeally old netbook with a 32 bit CPU, like 15-20 years old. It looks like yours is 64 bit though. What hardware are you using?
Also are there any mods you tried to install before launching the game for the first time, and is it an official version or something like a compressed or modified version uploaded by a third party?
Also in our Discord we started doing public SFW art livestreams for anyone who wants to watch. Tomorrow the artist is streaming a new character. The new release will be out late tonight or tomorrow.
have an xeon 3440x chipset 1156 8gb ram.
i used the steam version and it doesn't work either.

Bro, you're using a CPU from 15 years ago with less RAM than a phone.
And it isn't even a typical desktop CPU, it's a workstation/server CPU that is relying on old atypical drivers. No one in their right mind would still be supporting that.

That CPU is missing modern instruction sets. For start, off the top of my head, it's missing AVX/AVX2, I'd have to go do research to see what else it doesn't have.
And no, you will not find people supporting 15-year-old Xeon CPUs.
Xeon CPUs were rarely supported outside of enterprise operations to begin with.
It isn't consumerism, it's just an old, outdated, trash, piece of hardware.
In 2009 when his CPU was new, PCs from 1994 were not being supported either.
As I said above, his PC is less powerful than current phones and is also missing modern instruction sets.
You can't be serious. They aren't actively supporting old hardware, are they now? Noone goes out of their way to find 15yo fringe CPUs and alters their code to be inclusive to those. You're out here acting as if indie developers buy 15yo setups to make sure their games run on them, when it's simply that in most cases the architecture simply doesn't require specific accomodations.
The fact you think not every developer buying 15yo hardware to test their product on hardware basically nobody is using is "consumerism cultism" is hilarious.
If we always catered to the oldest standard, we'd still be living on trees.

This looks like a problem with screen resolution? Judging by screenshot, renpy's window is around 1357 by 725, that's not standard. It tries to "execute_default" and gets an error, so probably some default resolution, and there's probably a library error. Try fiddling with settings file if there's any, I dunno
It may be an issue with drivers - on my very old laptop, whenever renpy game starts with errors, I've put (i think) opengles into the same folder with the exe. Game becomes reaaaally slow, but it starts working. Also, there was a whole bunch of apis for missing/changed libraries for windows due to 7 to 10 differences (took those out of firefox installation, they've put those for backwards compatibility of their browser), but you seem to have windows 10
I develop this game on a Core 2 Duo laptop from 2007 that doesn't touch the internet, and I actually do test it on a lot of old and weird hardware. Developing on a god tier PC and being blind to optimization issues is a really common pitfall, probably especially for adult games because I bet a lot of people are putting these on an old laptop or phone instead of their daily driver. When the main game is done I'm planning to spend a few days building a version with a legacy RenPy SDK that should work on 32 bit systems and even Win9X as a kind of catch all for any older hardware or anyone who accidentally installed a 32 bit version of Windows.

We updated Lucine's romance path with a new animated h-scene in version 0.19 and the new version we're working now is a Raisa path update.
I like the visuals, but the file size of the game seems very low. Is there enough content in this game?
I suggest you check it out and see for yourself. At right now little is happening in the game but i think you should check it out regardless to see what the Devs are trying to do and how.
