Currently, I’m facing a dilemma and would like to hear your opinions.
The quality of the early parts of the game feels significantly lower compared to the current content, and I’m considering whether I should remake those scenes.
However, doing so might slow down the progress of the story significantly. On the other hand, if I leave the early parts as they are, I worry that new players might lose interest and quit the game before getting hooked.
What do you think would be the better choice?

remake it now and while you are at it throw out the sandbox

I like this game, but yah not a big fan of the sandbox. It should have a scene gallery, I don't think every good scene is replayable. But thanks for the game!

iirc, as of site rules, if the games a sandbox you gotta lose the vn tag.

I think they meant that all the characters look like they have the same exact face. Not enough variety in how the models look between characters. Body wise they may be different but if the faces all look the same they will look like clones.

IF you can remake the earlier scenes without major delays usually it's good to do that, especially if they can be dramatically improved.

I dunno i feel you should tease newcomers with newer renders, but keep progressing the story as you already do. I think you'll lose even more people, both new and previous players, if it comes to half for a long period, just so you could remake those parts. New players will often just look at ratings, and if the game stay in limbo because of a "remake" it will likely drop in ratings . Unless you use the opportunity to completely remove sandbox parts... which many will appreciate

Maybe a better spot to redo early scenes would be near the end, if you can't wait for the game (or a full season) to be finished. Or you could always at some point have hybridized updates (having both new content and small parts of the early games remade)
