Stupidity on the devs part, absolutely not. Stupidity on the part of the cult that believes 1.0 automatically makes a game complete... well if the shoe fits... And you're damn right my complaint is still valid because game version numbering varies between devs no matter how many fits some of you throw about 1.0 being an absolute number even though it never will be
If a developer advertises a "role-playing game" and it turns out to be a Call of Duty clone, they don't get to then say 'Oh, well we meant you play the role of a soldier!' That's not how language works.
Version numbers serve the practical function of conveying useful information. If the information they convey is misleading, they have failed at their job. Simple as.
Also don't go posting celebratory gifs until you've actually done something worth celebrating. Smug and right is a +1, smug and wrong is a -10.

The information is only "misleading" to the cult of people that absolutely insist that 1.0 is a complete game. The rest of the world goes by a little blue box by the game's engine that clearly states
Hilariously enough, the game thread I clipped that from IS NOT numbered at 1.0...
As for the gif, it wasn't celebratory. It was to reiterate a point. Also, if you know the person in the gif, then the usage of cult and the fact that I came back again to respond to yet another person that insists 1.0 should be a complete game no matter what despite saying I wouldn't are little things that specifically made me choose it.

In my case i got used to psvita and ps4(idk about Xbox & Nintendo) game with version 1.0 and bein updated for bug fix which i also used here in f95
For complete tag i associate it with my online library of manga&LN
I nvr knew my simple mention of 1.0 can become debate here

E:another reason y i mistake 1.0 i rarely play game that are renpy(which most of time disappoint me) Rpgm&Wrpg drop its game complete and rarely for a demo to drop and when it does its clearly stated
