So... you don't want the game to be completely changed... but there are a lot of crucial aspects of the game that you think are wrong and should change... :unsure:
Actually, you are the one who want the game changes. I say that I want it the way it's been developed: the story of a young man with amnesia that reconnects with kind of his foster family. As you say, that's the way this game has been developed the last two updates.
I said "you get it right" because you realize that this game is like two different games: the one of the intro, about science fiction, and the one of the updates one and two, a conventional story about a young man with amnesia. You see that disharmony in the game too.
I think the initial premise doesn't work, since the attractive of this game are the redheads and the past and future relationship with the young man. That part of the game works great, and most of the comments after V.2 say it. You would like the dev to deepen in the story of the old man of the intro that didn't aroused great interest, again according the comments in this forum. It´s OK. I never said we agree in that.

Hello there!

I hope you all had a nice weekend! This is just a quick update regarding the status of the development, particularly me redoing some of the old renders to bring it up to quality with my new ones. The stark difference of the quality really popped to me as I was referencing the old ones. I'm a little proud of that evolution.
Anyways, most of the re-renders on this scene are done, also added new additional locations, and some new side characters. The last couple of weeks was really productive for me and I hope the rest of August will be, too.

Do we know the schedule of updates? Like every month, 3 months or just when its done?

Considering he's launch the 0.03 from nowhere (I mean most of the people believe this game has been abandoned) and he's still occupied with his architecture thesis it's probably, just when it's done is most likely answer

Very simple: it couldn't have been done differently, but it could have been way shorter.
Much shorter. It's absolutely crazy how long it lasts and the amount of text you're forced to read.
As some other user wrote, I believe he wanted to show off his skills and the beautiful assets he could use.

IMO, in the grand scheme, the intro length is fine in a completed VN. In the current state where the intro is basically 1/3rd of the current content it feels like it is "a lot" with no pay off. As long as the completed story has good balance, the intro is fine. Again in my opinion.

I understand what you mean, but you have to bear in mind that some people have even dropped the game without getting to the actual content because they were put off by the intro, while others managed to trudge through it and have admitted they were close to giving up. Those people are the ones who could be supporting the game now and allowing its creation.

I for one am not much of a gamer. I'm not an enthusiast of the fantasy worlds that exist in many genres and so the intro didn't do much for me. By contrast, I love basketball so if the intro had been about the MC playing a very important game, with long dialogues, the coach giving indications, then tragically losing the match on the buzzer and some tragedy happening in the locker room I would have been glued to the screen. But I would get it if many people rolled their eyes at such a lenghty introduction to a porn game.

As I see it, the intro should have been way shorter, and then when the game was complete he could have revamped earlier episodes adding more content where he thought it was needed.

I am ok with the 3rd point. It is his project and I am a big believer in people making the games they want to make, the way that they want to make them. Sometimes it is horrible but that is part of being an artist. Not everyone is going to get it. And some of the best art is often unregarded until a later date.

I am not a hardcore gamer but I could keep up with it. The detail is necessary for congruence. He has an audience that super appreciates that intro and all of the detail, and he wanted to cater to them.

Once I got through it, it seemed like an acceptable entrance fee. The story starts moving very quickly once MC leaves the hospital. Some stories feature a weak payoff or the payoff takes too long to reach. I got a book for review purposes 10 years ago, and I couldn't get past the first 3 pages for months, and I felt guilty because a friend bought me the book so I could review it for his online bookstore. Eventually, I made it to page 5 and fell in love. It is one of the best books I have ever read. Again, it's about having the staying power (as a consumer) to get to the payoff. Of course, I am a weirdo whose special power is delaying gratification. I am not patient at everything but I am super patient when it comes to literature, film, or games.

Well, seeing as it's August already and as time tends to fly when you're having fun…*sigh*

But to answer your question: maybe. Polyrotix is actively developing at the moment and has every intention to have the update drop sooner than eleven months from now. But seeing as this project is one of their hobbies, there is no telling how much of their time they will be able to spend on this. So, I guess we'll all just sit back, relax and enjoy the ladies. I know I will. :cool:
