Due to the recent discussions about hentai games being taken off platforms I realized it's not just important but also urgent to finish the main story of Renryuu sooner rather than later so that I have more options on where to go for the distribution. It was already my priority to finish the story, but not as strict as I'll do it now. Even if that means some other great content won't get done for over a year. To achieve this I made a hard push back of everything that's just a bonus or unimportant.
A lot of such additional content, like most of the new areas of the advanced worldmap, the mightiest beings, gods, and so on, will be made after the main game is done. Either as updates, dlcs, or as part of a sequel. The entire story of the Grand Magical Outbreak and what caused it is also pushed to the end of the game to open up the door for a new main story line in the future that deals with everything related to this major event.
The first image shows the roadmap for how the new progression of the updates and their content may look like. With rough timeframes that I'm probably going to break immediately. (You've been warned!) But if everything works according to the plan, the main story of Renryuu will be done by the end of 2026.
The second image shows some of the content that is pushed back for later and a short summary of the most important steps of the main story.
Forgive me if this was asked already but I couldn't find an answer skimming through the search; has Ryen said anywhere how much longer the timeskip event updates are expected to take? I last played late (Oct.) 2023 and want to see some of the new ish, but dont want to keep a pre timeskip save on standby for when its finally over

I didn't post a concrete timeframe for the development before since things have the tendency to always take longer than I expect and new ideas get pushed in between the plans randomly all the time. But you're lucky that, while you wrote that message, I actually made the list posted above explaining my new plans and timeline. I hope this helps.
By the way, in case you misunderstood that part, you can go into the time skip phase and play all available content and always go back to continue your progress in the pre-time skip area. You're not forced to stay in that phase.
