I know, it sucks for me too since coding for joyply is quite simple on my end but due to the apk porting parasites I'm now having to put hours into reworking everything. This is just when I was prepping new options menus just for JP while bumping up the Core to v7 but alas, we're staying on v6 till I get this whole mess sorted.

I downloaded episode 8, threw 3 of your files into the "game" folder (with replacement), I even started from the very beginning to double-check, because I had saves from a version with a different language, but even in version 7 your mod worked fine, and now it displays that the mod is installed, the gallery opens, but there are no hints.
Good morning. Bud, I never called anyone "stupid". At the end of the day you're doing something different than absolutely everyone else. There's over 12k folks running the mod currently with zero issue. I'm only trying to narrow down exactly what it is you're doing different. Ep7 has nothing to do with Ep8, let's move past that. I've been asking you (at least twice now) to start from scratch (you can use a different directory name if you wish to retain your other install) and do only two things: Install a new/clean VN then install the mod, don't do anything else, and start the VN and report back. I can't help you if you don't tell me what else you're doing, so I'll leave it at that.
I wrote that I started from the beginning, I have a clean 8 episode and your mod in the "game" folder, but when the answer options appear there are no hints, now I just repeat myself. About episode 7 I mentioned because there I downloaded the save in a different language and could continue without errors, but now even in the clean version shows that the mod is installed, but works in half.

Hmm... well bud, first thought is that that's not the RenPy version the VN is based on, it's much older in fact (7.3.5 is over 3yrs old). The VN is based on 7.4.8 so I would start with running it on that version or later first. Then seeing what exception it's really throwing.
It was an older version but the folder was created today...weird. Re-installed everything from scratch, works fine now! Thank you! Keep up the great work!
Honestly I've thought about scrapping the dev's silly buttons during the lewds for a while now. I haven't been able to get caught up enough with all the VN updates to sit down and find a quick way to do it yet since I know future updates will continue to have them. I'll find a slick, efficient way around them though. Yes, I think they suck too. It's one of the things a dev thinks will be a great idea but becomes cumbersome for the end user... not user-friendly for sure.
That sums up my feeling on it.
Imagine how I feel having to speedrun the VN countless times while coding and bug testing... I hear ya bud, sincerely.

Wed Oct 26 16:27:43 2022Appears you have exact issue of another here. It's a dev variable and nothing to do with the mod. You'll likely have to load a save from E6 or prior as the save you loaded didn't have that variable define (dev introduced it later). If you look through the previous ~3-4 pages there's a couple of these dev errors that would occur with or w/out the mod... it's due to the save being loaded.
