I mean the part at the bottom right that you're pointing to just doesn't appear sometimes, but I was able to find it again by reloading an autosave though.

I attached an image as evidence
Good morning. Same scene below. I've not ever seen where the Sancho dialogue box was visible and the MiniMenu not in any of my mods (with 100's of thousands of downloads). Were the saves you are using previously created with another mod installed? Is there any other non-original files installed in your current VN installation? What you are showing in your pic is simply not possible with SanchoMod installed into a clean installation of the VN and either starting with a new playthrough or loading a save that was previously made from an un-modded VN or with SanchoMod previously installed.

I'm not accusing you of anything, just trying to get to the root of the issue as it appears it's something on your end.

No previous saving with any other mod. This would be the first time I've played it.

Would it be out of the question to add the mod menu as an item in the quick menu, then not disable the quick menu unless done so using the mod? Also, maybe the mod items should be accessable using the "sanchomod" item in the settings

Just an FYI, the QM setting is saved on a per savefile basis. With that said this particular mod is not updated to the latest core code of SanchoMod (I'm updating all of them as fast as possible, see my profile for recent examples). The newest core initiates QM and dialogue boxes differently, making the on/off by default depending on the dev's original code (some VN's have QM on by default, others don't) but again the settings are saved on a per savefile basis. In other words if you have QM enabled and make a save, whenever you reload that savefile the QM is again active. This certainly is more fluid in the latest versions of the mod though.

Regarding the OEM settings screen, realize that SanchoOptions is an overlay screen, not a replacement screen. Now of course anything is possible and I can code a bazillion different ways to do the same thing but to what efficiency is gained from access via the OEM settings screen when you have immediate access anytime during normal playthrough? I get that it's likely a "personal preference" type of thing but I'm not seeing the benefit at all tbh. I'll certainly jot it down in my notes as something to look at to facilitate both ways though.

That's fair but I'm just confused at what point there is of having the Sanchomod button on the settings menu when there's nothing you can do with that specific part of the mod

That's information text only to let the player know where to find the custom options, that's all. It was never meant to be anything otherwise from the get-go but like I said I'll consider other scenarios that don't negate the aesthetic.

Also an edit to the above: I've some bookkeeping to do this weekend for tax season but I'll do my best to update this mod core code to the latest version this weekend. It takes on average about 4-6 hours to port everything over proper so just know that going in. If anything throws that off due to complications with my business duties over the next 48hrs then all bets are off though, full disclosure. Regards.

Take your time, was just throwing some ideas out there and letting you know about a possible bug, though you're most likely right that it was something on my end

I certainly appreciate your feedback. I realize that when I type it reads blunt so please never take offense at my wording, it's stems from decades of multitasking. And you and I need to keep that issue open for now until it's resolved tbh, the reason for it's occurrence is important regardless of where the issue lies. Please keep me informed and I'll do my best. Regards.

Good afternoon. You are on to something. As I was finished porting everything over to the new core, to the point I even compiled it all for distribution I tossed a fresh install of both the VN and today's updated SanchoMod....and found that bug, kind of.

It occurs when the player opens the MiniMenu, does anything or nothing (simply open/close has same effect), then utilizes the rollback feature... it disappears. This behavior has never been an issue before so I went through every other VN I mod and that behavior does NOT exist at all on any of them... just this VN. I won't lie, I'm having one helluva time isolating the issue as it seems to be related to the overlay screens the dev is using for the "Slut Button" function.

I won't push out today's update until I resolve this of course but wanted you to know that you aren't going crazy or seeing things. This particular dev is quite known for buggy code and missing images, I just have to find that needle in a haystack an fix another one of their issues. I'll keep you updated on progress. Apologies and regards.

Edit: Holy shit... sometimes you can rollback and it ends up at the main menu screen (while the game is still loaded in the background). This might be a mess, give me some time to sort it out. The dev's code is doing something very wrong somewhere with functions and/or screen tagging but I'll find it.

Edit 2: Until I either patch the dev's code or they update the RenPy, throw the attached inside either the "game" folder or the "SanchoMod" folder under that. This won't correct the issue but whenever you notice the MiniMenu disappearing after rollback (this occurs with any screen currently in the layer I'm using whether it's my code or OEM) simply press the . key (period key), and that will refresh the layer. This way you won't have to reload previous saves for a screen layer refresh. Edit to this edit: This Sancho feature is now integrated into the mod, no need to install a separate file.

Could you do mod for part 1 too?
It's possible as I've certainly considered it in the past, but it'd be after I get some of the current unreleased projects off my plate. At a minimum I thought I'd do a proper SanchoGallery + SanchoGUI options. I don't remember needing a choice guide with this but it's been ages since I played it tbh. Regards.

Hi there,
I use this Mod here, and thanks to Sancho1969 by the way

Is there anyone other than me who has this "bug?".
Well, when it was time to choose if Emma did porn or if she was in jail, I chose She's in jail, but when I get to episode 6, (Friday 13th night) Emma comes to the bar to talk to Mia, and she says she's famous in the porn industry. I looked up the variable, and it's set to "False", so it should say, Emma doesn't do porn, right? Did i miss something?
I specify that I did not modify any variable.
I don't know if this will change anything in the near or distant future, but I guess so, otherwise why bother placing variables in script if that's not what it is for

I saw that some bugs have been reported, such as the mini menu disappearing when displayed and the rollback is used, or sometimes the game returns to the main menu in the same way. Here, I would like to make a suggestion for an improvement about this mini menu. The problem is that it's so "Mini" that when unrolled, I can't read what's written, even if I stick my nose to the screen, and it's a 100" screen. Would it be possible to add a text size setting to this menu?

Regarding the second issue it's a RenPy thing due to the version the dev is using (a bug in that version). It doesn't always occur and not always in the the same place. In lieu of when the dev updates their RenPy, you use rollback and the MiniMenu button disappears, simply press the period button "." and it will reappear.

Regarding the first issue I can't replicate. Also note that the mod does NOT change any variables (other than the use of SanchoCheats which is irrelevant in this case). In each conversation on Day13 the OEM also appears proper:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Also note that the word "prison" is only used 3 times on Day13 and all are included inside the above labels that end in "Prison" and not "Porn". Therefore the OEM dialogue appears 100% correct.

(I know your Mod doesn't change variables. That's not what I use it for, and I never use the "cheat" part of a Mod, it ruins the whole gameplay IMO) Thanks for the hint anyway

Well, for the 1st problem, it's weird to say the least. This has happened to me before with other Ren'Py games. When I used roll back to go back to a previous choice, the game didn't seem to take my new choice into account. That may also be the case here. I would restart the game from the beginning without using the roll back, when I have some time, to see if the problem persists.

For the second, I tried with and without the "1771822_Sancho_MM_TmpFix.rpyc" file, but it doesn't work. When I launch the game with this file, must in the "game" folder, or in the "SanchoMod" folder The "traceback.txt" file opens to tell me an error. I attach it below.

Edit: When I said I tried, I mean about the "."/"Del" key

Edit 2: My bad... About the 1 st problem
Things are back to normal after a second conversation Well, it seems I was overthinking a bit afterall, cause the plot implied that not only Emma get to the jail, but also she does porn

The period key "." is now integrated into the mod which was updated to latest core last month... so that temporary fix file "Sancho_MM_TmpFix.rpyc" is no longer required (I'll pull that attachment). Again, this odd graphical issue has to do with the version of RenPy the dev(s) use, in this case 7.4.8). Regards.

Yes, I just wanted to let you know anyway that it doesn't work in my case. Making some feedback, you know. I'm not criticizing your work, because it's quite a good job I must say. If anything, it's the developers' job not being done properly.
and again, thanks for your work

Doesn't work? Odd indeed. Do you have the latest version of SanchoMod DL'd and installed? (look at the timestamp date of the SanchoMod zip you have, if it's prior to April 24 then re-DL and re-install as the (period) button function was integrated into it)
