They are not boxing though, as Mia explained they are training for fake punches. How to throw a fake punch, how to dodge it etc. Headgear was for protection since none of them professionals. They also made jokes about other protection and MC got kicked in the nuts because of it.

So no boxing. Part of wrestling training.
