Say for, my system is 1440p with almost 100% sRGB but not so strong GPU or CPU.
Will the game run..?
FMI, most 4k Renpy run smoothly on my system.

I don't really know much about the inner coding but For Renpy when some game actually stutters it feels more like dev's implementation fault.
It was just the other day I was playing an Unity game with heavy animation. The dev had a good idea of rendering the scence eaarlier when the event acually loades.
I guess I was able to give you an idea about what I was trying to learn.
If said plainly then, I want to know whether the low quality is different type of image file or more than that.
For example, a PNG UHD image(these type of arts) won't really have any advantages over UHD JPEG or WEBP.
Now is the low version 1080p or lower? Given the display I have would the High quality version do any good?

i think they are both 1080p and you wont see any difference. if you want lower quality you can always search for compressed.
its 5mb vs up to 0.5mb with just dif type per pic/cg, thats it. webp is standard could say that all games use after comes the p size and compression.
