I don't know for sure but I'd guess that version is completely uncompressed. Most Renpy games the dev uses some compression to keep the size down, but not enough to drastically impact the quality. The low quality version is much more reasonable in size and still looks good, despite its description.

50 gigs gig version has raw pngs etc.

That is the 4K version, so if you dont have a 4K screen, you will never see the difference with the 1080p version.
You cant see 4K on a 1440p or 1080p screen.
That said, the 1080p version looks great, no need to download the 4K version, but unlike some say, you will see the difference on a proper 4K screen but it`s small.
