Yes, the anime butchered it in my opinion. It is very hard to adapt this kind of story and the anime barely scratched the surface with what Rewrite has to offer.
At first I was thinking the same that the anime was terrible and wasn't what the visual novel made me feel but after the anime was never an adaptation of the visual novel it was a new path and it was kagari.
The terra and moon route adaptation in the anime was great and the opening was amazing as well
You'll be glad to know there's so many more great songs in the VN. Sadly I don't think I'll ever touch Rewrite+/Harvest Festa because I don't want to go through all of it again. Already replayed the game twice and Akane/Terra (fav routes) a handful of times. Great story overall though you can see the clear lack of direction from the different writers as every route might as well be a different genre (Shounen, Horror, Drama, etc...). Thank you for the upload though
Anyone know if this game is coming to Nintendo Switch? I mean they've already released the English versions of Clannad, Little Busters, Planetarian, and Tomoyo After on the Nintendo E-store, so it seems logical that Rewrite would also end up there soon.

I haven't played the Sekai Project version translation much yet but I want to leave some of the problems here:
A comparasion of fan translation and Sekai Project
My feeling is that Sekai Project translation lost a bit of the soul of the game. Maybe im biased since i played the fan translation 4 times already. I had played the 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 version of it and one done for my language (Portuguese Brazil)
For 200k dollars kickstarter and 2 years of work, I'm decepcioned.
- The translation has been simplified compared to the fan translation in the sense of having less detail describing important scenes
- Removed the honorifics. No -kun, -chan, etc.
- Bugs. several. they have already informed that are working to fix them, so i hope this post will be updated in the future
- There are several Japanese texts still in the game, lol.
- It's censored in some cgs, in my opinion it's not very important but fans are doing the work to restore.
- They "americanized" some scenes. And changed the names of some characters.
- It seems they didn't hear the voices, they just translated the texts. even when the characters speak in English the text says something completely different

If i remember correctly this goes really off the rails after the girl routes and the true route has some bs time travel and going to the moon? Real clusterfuck

Yeah, kinda. It's one of those VNs who are absurdly funny in the first half and then shit hits the fan (like little busters, gridania or clannad). In this case

This takes me back, one of the first VNs I ever read. I'm pretty sure I went in thinking it was a porn game. I had no idea what I was getting into, but it managed to pull me in I guess, and ended up burning through it in around a day and a half, only stopping to sleep. It blew my mind, and by the time I was done, I felt as though I had just experienced like three lifetimes.

Pretty piss-poor translation from Sekai-Project all around really, the fan translation is miles ahead on quality and care to the original script, it's a bloody shame really.

Did i confuse this one with Summer Pockets, or did the old version of it really not have had a thread on here before? I searched the last few days maybe five times and it never came up, it was driving me kinda nut's. Because by now i do not trust the forum search at all anymore, so this made all of it only more confusing.
Back to the game, it has bugs, despite being finished and a vn with no gameplay? I'm not even sure if i should laugh or be sad about it. But this whole situation only made me hate "Sekai Project", which are by far the worst english vn publisher (we still haven't gotten planetarian hd, because of some right's limbo crap for example) only more. So... i guess that is something, right? /s
