here is the idea (that possibly was already made)

These 2 devs (oryginal and the guy who is porting to renpy) should sit and talk. And then carry on with this version forward.

This version is better gameplay-wise and run better. And bugs way less.

Renpy guy should take over implementation - do the renpy stuff like he is doing right now.
Oryginal dev should focus on art and writing.

Game would get better, oryginal dev would have more time for art so updates would be faster (he would not have to deal with bugs and coding). Because to this, game would be more popular, patreon would grow, there will be extra money. Renpy guy would take some of this extra money. Right now he gets nothing right? So some money would be better then zero.

Renpy guy gets money
Oryginal dev have more time, can focus on art
Game gets better, and updates are faster.

EVERYONE WINS
I've answered this before, and the short version is: probably not.

The Ren'py remake as-is won't fly on Patreon due to my content changes. If Ferdafs did reach out to me to port the game to Ren'py, maybe with some ui improvements but no content changes, I'm sure I could do it. But it's also not something I really want to do, otherwise I would have just made a port.

And strenif is correct, "hiring" me to work on the game would be a big hit to Ferdafs income. I'm making this version for free because 1) I feel that it's super fucked up to profit off of Ferdafs work, and 2) it's a fun hobby. Add money into that equation and now it's another job I HAVE to do.

Just for you ... well, for me too ...

For all of us :D

i wonder why jessica has very few content
She is a background character in the show (as is Tricia who has more content than her) so maybe Ferdafs just didn't feel that there was enough there to work with? Or possibly saving Jessica as a late game love interest (a very slow burn or concussion character). All we can really do is speculate and hope that our favorites make in for the next update!

I need more Morticia! Or Beth! Or Summer... Summers? Hot... Actually, I'm pretty much happy with anyone honestly... Sadly a long two month wait... At least I still have more new episodes to look forward to!

Thank you for another great update, your remake still never cease to amaze me. Just like someone above me said, it would be great if you and Ferdafs have some talk and agreement to working together in the future. Maybe not with current Rick and Morty consider how long he's develop the Unity version but I have a feeling you and him could have some great project in the future, because so far you have prove yourself with all the improving and make his game much more fun and playable than the original game

So ive had a hard time getting into the original one, partly due to bugs. The changelog is setup in a way that I can't tell how up to date it is with the original if someone would mind making that clear for me it would be appreciated.

It have all the content from the original but with a more linear and visual novel type than the sandbox version, the reason it only have like 3 updates is because Night mirror start to work on this game only after version 3.0 of the original so it got marked r1.0. After that every update from Ferdafs Unity version will count as 1 version aka r2.0 for v3.1 and recently r3.0 for v3.2, r are short for "remake"

Probably not. :( Sadly, I'm not an artist so what I can add is very limited. The plan for now is to enhance what I can and keep it up to date with the Unity game content.

Is possible to explore other dimensions with the portal gun. I mean like an open sandbox?
Nope. This is a liner adaptation. The Unity game has wandering mechanics, but I wouldn't really call it a sandbox. Too much of the game requires you to do specific things to advance certain stories, and most stories are tied to other characters.

So this one has more content right? And thanks for everything.
Yes. Most of its "extra" content is in two forms, more dialogue between scenes (because come on, who doesn't want to read more!...) and choices for different actions or endings in scenes.

Would it be possible to know which scenes have the most "added" to them ?

Anyway great job Night Mirror, this makes the game so much more enjoyable to play.

edit: do I have to download the patch as well with the main game? I don't have both

Sort answer is that pretty much all of the game has had some sort of tampering done. Anywhere from small edits in dialogue and typo corrections, to complete overhauls. I've also done fixes (not just edits) to artwork errors throughout. I've changed the way characters address each other so that it has a more "family" toned wording throughout. Morty (for example) almost never thinks or calls Beth Mom in the original, and Summer only calls him her brother a sparse number of times. Additionally I also made Morty more interested in fucking his family where as in the original, even now, he is always grossed out by it.

Major "extra content" comes mostly as either bumper segments to transition from scene-to-scene, or anything after a choice menu. The original game only has maybe 4 or 5 dialogue choices (mostly for peeing on Tricia, the Beth and Summer sleep scenes, and a finish choice for Wild Summer in the latest update (that I'd like to believe I somehow inspired, but is probably just coincidence)). So, anytime you get to pick and action or a finish is mostly me.

If you're asking for a comprehensive change list, that would be as big as the game and I don't really have one... If you're asking if it's something I would put in the game, the short answer is no.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to know? I've had this question asked before but don't think I got a reason for the request.

Nope, Update Patch is just to go form r2.0 -> r3.0. If you downloaded r3.0 you are all set.

Sandboxes, why I hate them, and why I took it out.

tldr; most porn games don't really have sandboxes, they have boring grinds that waste my time.

There is no tag (well, maybe Scat (if you like it, that's fine, but not my thing)) that will make me click away faster from a game other than Sandbox. A game needs to have something truly special to make me endure the pain of a sandbox. But why do I dislike them so much? Simple, in most porn games, they aren't sandboxes, they are a boring grind of randomly clicking around (or following a guide, in or out of game) until the story decides to happen.

First, what is a sandbox? If you've only played porn games you might think it's clicking from room-to-room, wandering around until the story finally slaps you in the face. And, that isn't a sandbox at all. That's a wandering mechanic (I think popularized by "Milfy City"? and just copied over and over into every game since). So what's the difference?

Let me change the representation to help paint a clearer picture of what's really going on. Rooms/locations are just an affectation, at the end of the day, what's really happening is that the player is clicking on menu options. Some options take you to more menus with more buttons, some options take you to events.

In an actual sandbox game, most of those buttons will take you to an event (even if it's not the event you were looking for). Yes, some will still go to "sub" menus to do things like "navigate" or "manage", but most of the time clicking the button will launch an event, or give the player an interesting choice. And that event usually won't require that you have clicked lots of other buttons or watched other events first. There can still be story progression, but these are usually self contained, with maybe the occasional influence.

A good example of an actual sandbox porn game would be something like "Degrees of Lewdity", or "Corruption of Champion". Where the player can (at least try and) take the actions they want, without being required to do non-related events first.

In most porn "sandbox" games that is not the case. Most menu buttons don't do anything, they have no events or choices at all behind them, or they tell you to click some other button first. Instead of making interesting choices, and playing just the parts of the game you want, you're still playing a mostly liner game that either gives the illusion of choice, or forces you down a specific path. Want to see this character's next story scene? Well, maybe go talk to all her friends first and do their scenes, then come back. That's simply not a sandbox, but that's what most "sandbox" porn games do.

Or, a simpler example: let's say we have 30 buttons to click. 10 navigate and the other 20 all launch an event or choice. That's a sandbox. Have 30 buttons again, and again 10 navigate, but this time only 3 buttons launch an event or choice, one of which requires you to have click one of the other of those 3 buttons first, and the other 17 buttons don't do anything. That's a wandering game.

"Rick and Morty - A Way Back Home" by Ferdafs, falls into the porn game "sandbox-like" sand-pit of a wandering game. You can't just do one character's story, you MUST do other events first to advance, and a lot of clicks just don't do anything at all (I'm not talking about bugs, I mean when the game is working as intended). Summer is a good example of this in that you HAVE to do things with Tricia first before her story even starts.

And, that was my issue (well, one of many issues, but specifically on topic here the sandbox issue) with the original game. The wander mechanic is fun maybe the first or second time you do it, then it's just a chore. It's not an activity I ever looked forward to doing, and it was never that different from the last time I had to do it. To quote one of my favorite review lines: "You should never, ever, ever, reach that point where you're like 'eh I'll check it later' in a game about checking rooms!" And that's the wandering mechanic in a nutshell. I never want to do it. I have to do.

So a liner game is the solution, right?! That's why I ripped out the "sandbox" stuff an stomped on until I broke my foot? Eh, it's got its own design problems. In place of that wandering mechanic, there is more dialogue to help ease scene transitions, arguably more clicks in most cases. I am stuffing a square peg into a round hole, the story wasn't designed with linearity in mind. While I got it to mostly fit, it's not perfect and does have some issue with the order of a few events, as well as some abrupt transitions. But I would argue it has at least four big advantages:

First, there is no looking for the story, it's all there, you'll see everything.

Second, you don't have to waste hours trying to find the right button to click to take the next step.

Third, things can happen in a much more logical order (for the most part). You're not suddenly confronted by a girl who says she will never ever let you fuck her, right after the scene where you fucked her.

And fourth, it lets events be even more connected because the order they are seen is fixed. We don't need to worry (for the most part) if another event happened or not, and what influence it has on the current event.

Is it perfect, no. Is is better, I would say yes, but a lot of that comes down to personal opinion. If you enjoy the wander mechanic, by all means enjoy it! Don't let some random person on the internet tell you what to like. Am I ever going to put it back in this game? Fuck no.
