Any recommendations? I usually sort by rating but a lot of the high rated games just don't jive with me.

been a while since I last checked this game, any eta on the next update? or we waiting for the og game to update first?
Plus, I recall there was a plan to finish this game already but when the original creator of the game came back, was that put on halt?

Sorry, I don't do game specific recommendations. The only advice I have is to search for what you enjoy, and try as much of it as you can. Most of it won't be what you want, but every now and then, you might find something you really enjoy (I'd say maybe 98% of the game I try, I end up deleting).
Here is where things are at. Still waiting on Ferdafs.

Yeah that's what I do too. With about the same success ratio. Most of the time it's just the writing that drives me off. Most of the games reek of being written by someone on the spectrum who doesn't know how you would talk to one girl, let alone the dozens that you're supposed to seduce in the game.

Dear Night Mirror, as you can see, Ferdafs is not going to get in touch yet, which means waiting for the next update for who knows how long. All the fans of your remake, like me, are burning to see what you've added to the game. Can you still roll out the update independently of ferdafs as a kind of modification so that we can play it now?

I know waiting sucks (in some ways I feel it more than others (as I both really want to play the new content from Ferdafs AND I have players of this game waiting on me too (so pressure from both ends (they're gonna meet in the middle and I'll explode)))).
Sadly, for now my answer hasn't changed (yet). We are still on the low end of the new "schedule" for Ferdafs (being 3-9 months between releases). The longest wait being 9~months (May to Jan), and the next one being 5~ Months (Jan to Jun). Jun to Dec or Jan is still in the realm of possible releases (yes, I'll never let go of this hopium, no you can't make me!).
The answer (finally) is that unless we get an update from Ferdafs this year (Nov or Dec), my content isn't coming out either. I know it sucks to hear, but it is what it is. This game is a port (remake? mod? whatever) first, and the conclusion is a fall back vs the game being abandon, not new continuing content.
If we get to Jan of next year and still nothing, I'll re-evaluate. That would be 6+ months of inactivity, which is where I consider games (most likely) abandon. At which point, I'd move forward on the release of r4.0P7.

i d much rather have small amounts of content somewhat regulary rather than 1 BIG update with ferdafs+your stuff once a year
as a player its hard/impossible to understand why you dont want to release finished content (which afaik is the case based on your progress reports)

not really hard to understand tbh. Yeah it sucks having to wait, but its ferdafs game that night mirror is just adapting and adding some extras. It almost becomes a different game. But putting night mirror into the full game dev shoes is not fair, as that comes with expectations that really should be directed towards ferdafs. Man's doing this on his own dime, not ours.

As usual perspective is off, so it went the other way - no ass left
On another note, I was about 100 frames in, manually editing movie S17/5/4 when I remembered NM mention BepInEx.

I am willing to be patient. Ferdafs game is basically unplayable. Night mirror takes Ferdafs paint and turns it into art.
amazing, the story just feel so much better these arrangements, and the quick going back to scenes, and do over options, this is just 10/10
Sorry if this was mentioned somewhere already but for some reason 4.0 (and 4.0.1) aren't playing any animations. I just get a black screen with the usual subtitles and bottom menu options. I've played other versions in the past with the same set up and this is the only time I've ran into this issue...any ideas?
NVM, solved it! Just had to delete the games folder in app data roaming renpy. Not sure if saves are stored there but I didn't have any so alls good

The "decryption key" is part of the link (everything after the "#"). I checked all the Mega links in the OP and they are all working. Best guess, it is most likely an issue on your end, possibly with a browser extension.
There are several other download options to choose from if you can't get Mega to work for you.

As we close in on the end of Nov, with still only silence from Ferdafs, it's once again time to give some status (and other stuff) about this project. When is the next update coming out, what I'm working, and "other stuff".
As always, if the only thing you care about is WHEN?! WHEN CAN I HAZ UPDATE PLZ?!!! There are two possible answers. First, if Ferdafs puts out an update before the end of the year, I'll do my best to turn that around as quick as I can, and that will also include Part 7 (of the conclusion). Otherwise, (maybe) early next year? I'm still not 100% sure. If the update "when" is all you care about, you don't have to read any further.

Thank you for what you're doing, dude, at first I was depressed because the new part would have to wait until the middle of winter, but when I found out that you were doing another part, I just cheered up! Does this mean that part 8 may be ready by the time you stop waiting for a release from Ferdafs? If so, it will be just gorgeous, because this date is not far from my birthday
