tried a quick search but didnt find the answer, so i gotta ask, do i need to start a new game every time for the names to stick? i loaded a save, and now every char has a weird name, like the mc is now [mh], the little sis is [j_sis], and so on. is there a way to fix that or do i need to start a new save?

seems like its bugged.
you can bypass that with a save editor
find beth_swim_learn_approved and change the value to 1
cant recommend it tho as you never know how it might effect future versions
