I love Darci. When she called someone a roast beef cunt that sealed the deal.
I love the female-female friendships and humor in Ripples. Jestur clearly grew up with either sisters, or good female friends. "Hot dog fucker" is not something a "let's be honest men and women can't be friends" guy can come up with.
Great update, the animations are on high level, but that cliffhanger... at least she's okay. Scarlett's photos were a nice foreshadow but I'm more interested in what Dani said about "being serious this time" in lingerie store. I have so many theories in my head right now.
I'm only disappointed in two things:
First, nobody made a big deal about Skylar's disappearing, especially MC with the obvious "help me" message. Second, as someone mentioned here before, Alyssa kind of went from 1 to 100 in seconds. I hoped for something more slowburn with her or at least an option to tell her to be her own person and don't listen to Riley.
And I'm still hoping MC is not his own father, or the father of all the girls he's banging.
I don't like required physical escalation for romance in general, BUT I don't think Alyssa's escalation was too fast, save perhaps fingers already going downstairs.
Alyssa's actually a very bold and direct person. She comes off shy and awkward from her experiences/lack of experience. But it's situational shyness and conditioning, not borne of more intrinsic reasons such as insecurity, misanthropy, or low self-esteem.
Thumbs up for Alyssa reminding me how, like her, I'd awkwardly and misguidedly attempted to follow external advice in an early sexual experience, saying something completely out of place. The lovely lady I was with couldn't help but burst out laughing, bless her.
After seeing so much of this:

I think I'll keep my theories to myself and just enjoy watching the story unfold.
And even though I've always figured out every mystery book I've ever read less than a quarter of the way through, I still like watching how the author unfolds it (and I never read the last chapter first).
Respect the restraint and consideration. If sharing your theories is no bueno, how about the opposite:
What are some popular theories you see, that you confidently *exclude* from possibility, and why?
Just finished the update and Sir Jestur has delivered another fucking banger! the patience paid off and this update was amazing. I can tell you worked hard since the animations are so high quality. I also enjoyed the recap but I guess I'm the minority. the cliffhanger was crazy but I'm looking forward to the next update.
I liked the recap too! It was really helpful and didn't feel too long to me. I totally agree with someone who said earlier that given between being forced to see the recap and not having it, that they would always choose the former. And it's not a choice that even needs to be made, with the Skip option on the way. Maybe a "recap soundtrack" a la Being a DIK or something can help the transition feel a bit smoother for someone who is immediately continuing from the previous chapter.

The sensation that this chapter *felt* shorter than others I think points to just how action-packed of a ride Ripples has been. We definitely needed some contrast to hold everything together.
Eternum may be nigh perfect and more well known than Ripples, but there are definitely some areas where Jestur's got Caribdis beat (and vice versa). I love that the two support each other, and I hope they serve each other well. Oda and Kishimoto!
Most of all, I just feel so much love having been poured into Ripples every time I play it. It's made for perverted nerds, by a perverted nerd, to say that being a perverted nerd is totally okay.
