Oof!Fair enough Bill. Our standards are probably different for that sort of thing so I'm not trying to sway your opinion. These are just a few of my triggers. I just started a new gaming using a name (Herb Tarlek) other than my own (shout to shit!) and we'll see what pops out.
- He complains repeatedly about how Darci saying "WAKE UP!" has given him some PTSD trauma
- "No, I was wondering why you didn't pull your skirt down or anything. It's more lady-like." - Yes, complaining about a girl showing her legs. Derp.
- "After you left, I only talked to her a few times, and she acted weird when I did. Talking about big sausages and meat and eggplants..." -Yes, he stopped talking to a girl actively wants to fuck him and he whines about it.
- Once he agrees to kissing practice he complains it's too sudden, he just woke up, she calls him a pussy and then sits in his lap. "Whoa! What are you doing?" -Yes, he's whining/complaining about a girl sitting in his lap who he just agreed to kiss. Adds another "It's just a little sudden"
- After she's in his lap "Will you stop jumping around so much?" and then actual asks her to stop rubbing her legs on his dick "Darci, stop playing around".
- Soon after at breakfast when Darci is groping him "(Why the hell is she doing that right now?)" -Yea must suck having a girl touch your dick.
- After the above he has a chance to move her hand. He doesn't and then the next thing out of his mouth is "*whispers* What the hell are you doing?" then "(Is she serious right now?!)" then "Stop it" then "Stop poking it" -Yes, let her continue then complain about it.
- Later at school Krystal drags him into the bathroom and is rubbing up against him as he leans against a wall "God damn, Krystal!! Where is all this coming from?" even she thinks he's complaining "What? You don't like it?"
- In the past with Khloe and Jenny, two girls in a bathroom stall you joined voluntarily, enjoyed watching them kiss then they reach for your dick and ""Whoa! Whoa! Hey!"
I had so many more but it was getting spammy. It's also hard, sometimes, to separate his stupid/ignorant statements from complaining and whining. Anyway I respect your viewpoint but from mine it's really hard not to punch him in the face. Like right in his Bozo the Clown nose!

You are obviously interpreting all of these things very differently to me. There is little if any common ground in how we see the character.
Him joking about Darci giving him PTSD is, wait for it, sarcasm (so maybe he does get it).
I challenge you to sit at the breakfast table with a family member while a girl gropes you and have no concern at all about being discovered, even if you're enjoying it. Okay, maybe you wouldn't have a problem with that. But many people would be nervous and conflicted in that situation and it doesn't make them a whiner.
For a character you describe as "someone who is constantly cock blocking himself", he has one heck of a lot of sex. Almost all of it without any reluctance whatsoever.
Most of your quotes I see as more about timing than reluctance (the Darci ones are also being played for laughs), and being oblivious to flirting is something to which I can relate. Some people struggle with social cues that might be obvious to others. The obliviousness continues into the bathroom scene with Krystal because he hasn't yet developed the confidence he needs (but has been getting more over time) and isn't convinced she's that into him. He's a bit of an idiot at the start, I won't argue this. But by the time he's in the park with Skylar he's so far past that.
I respect that you have presented your opinion in a manner considerate of opinions from those with whom you disagree. I hope I've done the same. And I am happy that you have found the reasonable solution of not self inserting.
