More Jessica plssss :(((((( there's barely any events involving her :cautious: almost makes me feel like they totally forget about her existence in the story. And one more thing, they are now do the branching stuffs, sure this will increase the replayability but i like how thing was in the first 5 eps more (just choose to be on a girl's route and you won't miss anything)

I'm just going to take that as a "no" then. It's weird that there's so much dialogue referring to a second chance later that doesn't exist, maybe the dev changed their mind I guess.
I just unzipped, extracted the script archives to check now. I, like any red-blooded man of sound mind, didn't turn down the invitation to practice, so I didn't know off the top of my head... and I never pass up a chance to quote Allen Iverson.

The answer to your question is that is the only on-ramp to Darci's route

Dude, that's brilliant, but supplying explanations and evidence for someone who didn't realize how to enter a path that was so glaringly obvious, probably won't know what to do with it. Dude thinks that there's always second chances in life (or games)...

Bruh I wasn't asking for advice on how to get on her path, I was asking if there is an alternate, delayed path for her because there's lots of moments in the game that explicitly say that:

Thank you for actually answering, and going to such lengths to do so, that settles that. I like Darci as much as the next guy, but I was just curious if she had an alternate storyline.

Again i wonder what the original plan was since these dialogue lines are really explicit that at one point there was meant to be a second path for her later.

"Explicitly say that"? No. Ask about it, as you did? Yes. But the answer appears to be no.

The lines simply aren't stating there was, at any time, meant to be a second path--they're MC wondering if he permanently f-ed things up, and then (incorrectly) concluding things would be fine. But MC isn't omniscient--if he were, the game would be very different.

I think that's being pretty obtuse, AVNs like this frequently use internal monologue as a way to communicate with the player, and Ripples is no different, with the MC frequently talking about potential consequences of their choices before being presented with them.

Anyways, like you said, the answer is settled either way. Don't know why people get so snarky about it, I'm just gonna charitably assume people are too invested in darci and feel bad for her going un-fucked in anyone's playthrough

Think that if you like; I naturally disagree. But the facts remain that:
  • The lines you quote simply do not "explicitly state" that there's a second on-ramp to Darci's route--that's your inference (reasonable or otherwise is a separate question), not what the lines state; and
  • "frequently" isn't the same as "invariably." Yes, MC's internal monologue often foreshadows what is to come--but not infrequently, he gets it disastrously wrong (which, I repeat, is pretty much necessary for a story to progress--if MC invariably accurately predicts what's going to happen, there's no conflict, and thus no story). Eternum's MC at the beginning of 0.7 wonders if the LIs would mind his messing around with the others, but dismisses the thought--likely correctly. But at the end of 0.7 his internal monologue is that he's essentially invincible, and then he gets fatally shot.
I'm not saying you're completely wrong and stupid to read these lines in this way*, but I am saying you're wrong to read them as an explicit statement of what you hope to be the case.

As to Darci, I'm a sucker for a friends-to-lovers story, so I'm always going to go for the long-time friend if she's at all cute--and Darci's definitely cute. She's not my favorite in the game, but she's high on the list.

*Edit: On re-reading this, I realized that my use of "stupid" may have sounded insulting, which wasn't my intent. Phrased differently, I don't think you're unreasonable to read those lines as suggesting a second on-ramp to Darci's path.

To be fair though, the game is not finished yet, so we can't rule out that another chance with Darci might show up in a future update. :)

Absolutely, whether the wording was explicit or implicit, it would make sense that Darci's gonna have another shot to prove herself even without MC's internal monologue, since she's still his BFF, already an integral part of the time travel plot, and undoubtedly she still has feelings for him. And yea, the game's quite a ways from done as I understand it too, so it's hard to say when Jestur's gonna give her another tryout. Whenever it happens, she'll be stoked to get called up from the friendzone into the fuckbuddy leagues. The first problem will be working her into the rotation late in the season. With a roster this full, one of the other girls going on the IL is realistically her best shot, even if you never wish for it. But the second problem is since she missed out on the earlier practice, she'll need more development before she's ready for a start. It'd be smart to bring her in to relieve for some of the girls that might not yet have the stamina down the stretch, like Alyssa or Jenny.

Okay, so I just finished ep7 and have to say; Personally, I think this game is one of the better ones. I've enjoyed the story, and the time travel thing certainly adds to it. Not sure if this was discussed already or not (I scrolled through quite a few posts of the 108 pages with 100 posts per page), but I did have a theory: I think the reason Luna is so upset at the MC is because Skylar is his daughter. The timeline fits perfectly. She's 19 and considering he went back 20yrs and to allow for 9mo before birth, that has to be it. Again, I suppose everyone could have discussed that already and I'm late to the party, but that's what I believe currently.

I noticed a few pages back the redhead wars and honestly, I think young Scarlett in 1999 is by far my favorite, but Nova and Sage are very close behind, so there's that.

Now that I have finished what there is (very sad about that), I can't wait to continue this story, and I might cancel Discovery+ just to support his Patreon as I have with Caribdis and Drifty. I'm not rich by any means (or even close), but unlike others, I believe certain devs deserve the recognition.

I agree with (and have discussed at least a couple of times up-thread) your theory, for pretty much the same reasons. The counterpoint is that there's dialogue of Skylar's having known her father and his being in prison, but it's possible this is a stepfather (and possibly that she isn't even aware of that fact). But I take it as given that MC's going to get it on with 1999 Luna, and that's the best explanation I can think of for 2019 Luna's freak-out when she meets MC.

Just how many Discovery+ subscriptions do you have?!
I'm not rich by any means
I'm beginning to doubt that. :cautious: Rollin up here with multiple Discovery+ subs...
and that's the best explanation I can think of
It's tied for first with a half dozen other less satisfying theories, in my mind.
