I do sometimes wonder how Jestur is going to "solve" 1999 LIs when the story ends, like they have points so I imagine some of them will have their own ending.
Don't forget, this town had a major "industrial" accident in the biggest employer, the power plant. Many died, and many probably had to move away for work. It's a more extreme town. Nobody but Jessica seems too messed up by it. Skylar isn't even that messed up by her dad being in jail. Everyone seems mostly well adjusted, outside of Darci, who is super cool as she is.
wouldn't the fix for that be easy? i.e the protagonist getting with old era characters result in different offspring than the ones in the 2020 ones (as for what that means for the 2020 girls, i don't know)

Just because you have free will doesn't mean you won't make the same choice every time based on the circumstances and who you are. Time is fixed. We just see it as linear.
I think Jestur flirted with the idea when MC thought he changed Crystal name right, someone wrote on this thread about this some days ago. Maybe Jestur was really thinking about we changing the future on the Past but then gave up because would be a pain in the ass to control all the changes.
Yep that is a great example, it seems Jestur nibble a bit on that concept but like you said fast they realized that it would be a branching nightmare, also time travel already give some kind of "linear branch" that in this case is events in 2019 and 1999. We can't forget that Ripples focus more on its strengths that are the quality of writing and the high quality of visuals. Not really, a lot of developers out there uses ''non official'' patches to avoid these problems, Jestur could do same to avoid patreon police, and dumb rules they have. And considering the characters of the girls, how they feel about the MC, events happened, and happening right now if developer decides to make girls pregnant from other dudes this would be against of almost everything we saw until this point, would be illogical, and even create some plot holes. I personally don't think Jestur would go that way, that would only decrease the quality of the writing, best way would be writing story based on MC being father of all those girls, making that ''unofficial patch'' and sharing version with that detail not in it to avoid the patreon police.
The patreon version will always have other fathers that aren't the MC, don't think there's any way around it.
