The Hawaiian pizza was invented in Canada. These are the same people who invented the jockstrap cup and they put gravy and cheese curds on their fries. Nothing good gets invented in Canada.

<mic drop>
Justin Bieber? Will Shatner? No? Dammit!
Let's just give credit where credit is due, Canada has done a lot of war crimes in the past but Pinapple Pizza redeemed them of any atrocities they commited... even... Beiber... nevermind...

You play with the patch, you're going to get what you're going to get. And even if that was the original plan (i.e., that MC is Tiffany's son/Jenny's nephew), the dialogue surrounding that "restored" relationship is pure fanfiction. I also played through this update with the patch, and also found that dialogue over-the-top, but I'm not going to blame Jestur for dialogue he didn't write.
I played the update when it came out but skipped the jenny scene until recently (wanted patch) Its been awhile since ive played the relevant parts (Tiffany mostly) but i feel like the dialog was almost incomparably better "back then"? Hell even MC internal struggles with Jenny havent just been "shes my aunt but sooo sexy and taboo" then the Jenny scene is literally just the generic "omg step-aunt is stuck" pornhub level dialog almost entirely just;"aunt/nephew/taboo" (stapled onto the usual good jestur sex scene writing) :KEK:

Even if i wasnt a fan of (well written) incest I still think Jenny/Tiffanys storys both suffer (sexually and otherwise) by MC being a family friends son.....however if any of their (or sister) future scenes are the exact same as the vanilla version with aunt/mom/sister added to the end (sometimes not even added correctly lol) then yeah the idea of incest in this game is dead

Edit: Who could have predicted something like this would happen just before the most recent update came out :HideThePain:

Hello Patrons,

I hope you are all doing well. Everything is great on my side. The summer weather has been nice. Well, it's been a little too hot for me the past week, but today it's cooled down a lot. So I've been enjoying that. I got my new NAS up and running, along with another backup to go alongside it. You can never be too careful with your data.

On the Ripples front, I've mostly been writing all the dialogue and coding for Episode 9. It does look like it will be a shorter update than Episode 8, which is what I'm going for. I want to get the update out to you guys a lot quicker than the last one. It's looking like the length is going to be around 60% of the last update. So hopeful it will take 60% of the time to create. Not to mention, Episode 8 had so many characters, with so much posing and new assets to mod. Episode 9 will mostly focus on three different characters and will also have some big story parts. It should be a great episode.

Well, I don't have much to report this time. I'll probably go a little more in-depth in the next dev update. But just know, I'm keeping busy and grinding away at the new episode.

Have a good one, everyone!

Hope for some 2019 Luna
I agree, but here's the problem with the time travel plot: All the stuff that we just saw, happened to her 20 years ago. If she was going to mention it, why not then rather than just freaking out and forbidding Skylar to see MC? "Because it'd confuse the player" would be the obvious answer, but I'd be interested in seeing the in-character reason.

?

"Skylar, ahm, I think I did the dirty with your guy 20 years ago... No, I swear I'm not on anything. Wait, come back!"

Something more outlandish than suddenly seeing someone identical to a guy you humped 20 years ago? Acknowledge it by mentioning it to your daughter.

Yeah, it wouldn't make sense for her to tell Skylar why, because she wouldn't have a good explanation for it and the look she gave the MC in '19 pretty well explained why she didn't confront him. It was pure terror, she was afraid.

Except that that didn't happen, at least not yet. Prevailing opinion here seems to be that we're done with 1999, and certainly the way they parted seems final for that time. So while I won't rule out it yet happening, and I hope we aren't done with 1999 for Jenny's sake, it doesn't look like it's going that way.

Meanwhile, that did happen with Scarlett at least once, and maybe twice, depending on the choices you make at the party. She also knows, or at least very strongly suspects, that the guy interested in her daughter is the same one she got it on with 20 years ago--and she's apparently cool with it.

Of course, if MC had sex with Luna in 1999, he could very well be Skylar's father, and that would very well explain her reaction on seeing him in 2019; that wouldn't be the case with Scarlett/Alyssa/Alice. But, again, that hasn't happened, and it doesn't look like it's going to.
Acknowledge it by mentioning it to your daughter.
Who said anything about telling her? It's already established that Luna has perfect recall of faces, and thus we can conclude that when she meets MC in 2019, she knows perfectly well who it is (though he doesn't yet)

shuica mentioned "their conversation [i.e., MC and Luna's] when meeting face to face." My question was and is, if that conversation's going to happen, why hasn't it already? Or at least questions about it? Like Dani did with MC?

And, again, the obvious answer is that it would confuse the hell out of the player, who's experiencing things on MC's timeline. But Luna doesn't know that the MC she meets in 2019 hasn't yet met her in 1999. No, she (probably) isn't going to tell Skylar what's going on. But completely avoiding MC, and then engaging with him (and if she has a "route," which she does, she's going to do a lot more than just talk with him), seems a bit off.
