Finished Episode 3-5 yesterday and was interested by few things.
In Ep 5, during the Present Scarlett visit, we see her having a Photograph of having Sex with MC while also commenting she needs him inside her
again. While 1999 Scarlett and MC have only gone as far as skinship at this moment. Pair it with Luna (Present) reaction and excuse on seeing MC, it seems like instead of MC travelling to the past first time, this timeline is more of re-visiting the events that already happened in the Past and are part of the current timeline.
That would explain Luna's Reaction (likely had some sex with her in the past and she remembers?), Scarlet having pics of the past, Jennie's repeated deaths - Since MC already caused all of that in the past and while he is revisiting events, they get confirmed again (barring minor variances, our options choosing make).
Atleast thats what I think based on info so far, feels like it would be bit of stretch to have timeline change wildly with minor interactions he had with Scarlett to point of her gaining different past in present.
Regarding the I am my own Grandfather Paradox/MC Fathering Present Girls discussion that was going on - seems more unlikely than not given info until Ep 6 start
- Tiffany was already Pregnant with Jessica, so thats one down.
- Luna is still married with a husband, so that crosses Skylar out.
- Alyssa mentioned their father abandoned them in their childhood, so ergo he was present with Scarlett during their birth, making it unlikely Twins are related (Tho given Scarlett relevance and Plot Device, that buying to go Milk could have been due to finding out not his daughters, but unless games goes in that direction, less inclined to believe in that, Could also be just have to do something with "Aunt" she used to have).
- Krystal has the highest chance so far, since she mentioned her father vanished before she was even born - which would check out if MC got Khloe Pregnant at some point while fooling around in 1999 (Tho nothing like that so far).
Have yet to see anyone related to Dani, Shelby, Layla etc for them to be relevant.
And for Jennie is Miss Gilmour theory, seems wildly inappropriate? I mean I can see the similarities and how author is trying to make players feel that way with some of scenes like Ep 4 ends with Jennie Pout and Head Pats and in Ep 5 start you see Darci doing the sameish.
Their age obviously doesnt match, so that one is out of the bucket. Then comes Theory of Jennie travelled in past alone to become Miss Gilmour
But we already know that
- Miss Gilmour existed and had a daughter Gabby Jennifer Gilmour aged 18 in 1999.
- The time machine is fixed to travel 20 years in Past or Future only.
That means even if we do headcanon of MC Impregnated Jennie -> Jennie Travelled to Past and Gave Birth and so on.
It wont match the timeline, since the Daughter would have needed to be 19 at minimum, given Time Machine would have landed her in 1979. Furthermore, It would mean that Gabby and by extension Darci is blood-related to MC and Jennie is knowingly pushing her Grand Daughter in incest with her Grandfather/Her "Lover".
Personally don't think Jenny is fucked in head enough to be doing that.
Other option would be her Travelling in past normally, which would imply - Jennie who believed MC was her true love, willingly started a family with some other Man in the past, Allowed Present Jennie and Steven to die, Have Tiffany Live in grief and is now letting her "True Love" do her Grand daughter instead.
Both options demonizes Jennie pretty badly as hella fucked up character, unlike her portryal in story so far.
Thats my opinion so far.
Regarding Girls, Scarlet 1999 truly is the best girl so far and in the present, it comes down to Alyssa and Krystal personally. Seger's Shoot was pretty hot in Episode 5 and it will be interesting to see how things develop with Dani/Shelby.
Darci is alright but I feel is overforced into plotlines by the author, which makes it a bit annoying, especially since MC/Author is adamant at keeping other girls at bay, even though Tiffany would be realistically the first person to confide in since she is the one who lost the most alongside MC. (And her shit talking even in normal convo gets annoying at some point).
Jessica hopefully changes for the better in Episode 6, since took her route despite her having spent first 5 episode mostly talking shit to MC.
