VN - Unity - Rise of the White Flower [v0.12.5] [NecroBunnyStudios]

This review is a copy of my comment and so far it reviews chapter one and two.
About my experience with the game. I've played a first chapter and decided to reserve my judgment and see how things goes. And what can i say, i was pleasantly surprised. Despite being in its early stages, game already have a good art style, solid plot, likable characters (no Jean, not you), a lot of kinks to appeal, good music and promise of lot more to come. The text are good (at least for me, considering English are not my native language), no Engrish stuff. I can see that game aims to be an ambitious project and truly hope, that authors will find support and won't lose the spark.

First of all, I’d like to say that Rise of the White Flower is my favourite VN! If nothing can be perfect, then it’s really close to perfection.
At the time of writing, I’ve finished playing both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the game.
Where should I start, I wonder? Well, the genre this game belongs to is high fantasy. So, be prepared for an exciting storyline and immersive lore. The tone is light-hearted, but I assure you that there is some deep characterisation in this VN. I‘m not going to spoil the story. I’ll just say this: if you love playing as a mage, you’ll love this game
Now, let’s move on to the art. The game has a unique artistic style due to the amazing work of Banshee! She’s one of the developers of this game, an extremely talented artist and a wonderful person I don’t think I should describe in detail what I like about the art. If you play the game, you’ll notice that it’s simply beautiful and professionally made!
This game has a diverse cast of characters with whom you can form real relationships (romance, friendship, rivalry, etc.). It’s one of the highlights of it and something that made me love it so much along with the art!
For those of you who only had an opportunity to play Chapter 1, I can say that you are in for a real treat when you play Chapter 2!There are many surprises there. You’ll learn more about the world, and you’ll witness some important changes in the personalities of the characters. You’ll also meet two new characters: Khai, a catboy, and Delphine, a nymph. Khai is an interesting fellow. I kinda like him. The moment I saw his sprite on Twitter, I knew we’d be friends. As for Delphine, you’ll have to wait and see… She is one of the most beautiful characters I’ve ever seen
Your choices do matter. You’ll see their consequences in Chapter 2.
Oh, and the devs, Vane and Banshee, are real professionals and good persons They truly care about the players and listen to your feedback! So, don’t hesitate to provide it but be respectful!

This is a brilliant game so far with memorable characters, a decent amount of variations and a lot of enjoyable content. I'm eagerly looking forward to more to come, in particular, more Futa scenes! Keep up the good work.

Pros
- Much content for first release (including a couple of sex scenes)
- Original artwork that is good
- Well written story and characters
- What seems to be and opportunity to dictate what kind of person the MC is, based on what seem to be a of dialogue wheel of sorts as well as moral decisions
- Well defined worldbuilding and lore
- Darkly themed world despite the cheerfully coloured artwork

Cons
- Language could benifit from proofreading here and there, maybe DEV doesn't have english as his/her first language?

To summarize, a very promising beginning! My greatest fear at the moment is that the dialogue wheel will turn out to be nothing more than "right answer and wrong answer". For instance, so far it only seems to matter in the sense that the MC must choose at least a certain number of "flirty" responses, in order to get all sex scenes. In the future, I hope that what kind of answers and action the MC takes leads to different sex scenes and that playing nice/flirty isn't always the way to maximize sexual content. I hope that the dark themes are also represented in the kind of sexual relations the MC can choose to have. Seeing as the MC isn't necessarily above murdering children, raping rivals and enemies (or even the odd friend/collegue...) shouldn't be out of the question for those so inclined...

An amazing game! The art is wonderful and colorful, the sex scenes are really well done and sexy, and the story is very interesting. It was also a nice surprise to see the characters have as much personality as they did. They all felt very interesting, and they all seem to have unique backstories that I am excited to learn about as the game progresses. The game had a large amount of content for a first release and I am incredibly excited to see version 0.2.

I am speechless to describe how good this game is. For an initial release, the game certainly already shows in a very good way for what it came, good graphics, writing and characters, music and a selection screen of choices very pleasant to my eyes (I loved the small detail of showing a small text when hovering over the choice).

Honestly, the only real bad thing i can talk about this game right now is that you are forced to play it on full screen... and for a VN hentai maybe it's not the best decision... if you khow what i mean with that. Generally i don't like giving 5 stars for a unfinished product, however I can certainly make an exception for this game, due to the incredible quality proof it has. Now go give your money to the developer, so he can finish this piece of art
