A remake would do this game good. Even if it will be "half as good" in the assets and story departments. The game is abandoned, it's clear as day. And it's most likely due to the complete lack of interest from players, that in turn is due to the questionable choices made by the dev in terms of game mechanics. Which led to very little income.

The premise of the game is enticing. The implementation was completely off. Maybe, if someone decides to do a remake, won't do as good a job, or maybe they'll do an even better job. In the end it doesn't matter. If people wouldn't strive to improve, we would still be fingerpainting in caves. And the only way to improve is to try. If you do a bad job, you figure out what went wrong and try again.

Clear as a foggy day with a blizzard raging outside, maybe. This dev has a history of very long delays between releases, at least for the last several times. It very well might be abandoned. But you don't know that, just like I don't know that it's still being developed. Shockingly, no news is just that: no news.

And why would you push to take this same game and remake / finish it? Why not have people create their own thing? If someone doesn't have the creativity to make their own story and instead has to rely on redoing someone else's idea, they're seriously deluded in thinking they could make a go of it and be even remotely successful. There's a reason people rag on Hollywood for remaking / reimagining past films so much instead of coming up with new material.

Redoing what someone else started and didn't finish isn't indicative of a lack of creativity. It's building on top of the original concept. With that logic, improv shouldn't exist, cause the whole concept there is building on top of what the other said.

And people harping on hollywood for remaking past films is only a recent thing. The majority of recent remakes are shit, yes, but not because the originals were perfect and there was no room for improvement or because someone else can't do a better job. The reason they are shit is more complex and it has to do the current state of hollywood as a whole, with politics, wokeness, pushing agendas that have no place there in the first place, lack of integrity from people involved in the production of a movie and so on.

And regarding hollywood movies, some of the best movies ever made are remakes: Scarface, the new IT, The Thing, the girl with the dragon tattoo, Scent of a woman, The fly... and many more.

Also, why are you so against it? If someone does a remake and it's shit, you can simply ignore it. This version will still be here for you to enjoy.

Shame, i really liked it. Haven't played in a while. Maybe i pick it up even unfinished. Not the last one for sure. Happens.

btw. what can you do in the last version. I don't want to know how to get there, just what you can do. Thx.

It's not officially abandoned (i.e., Nerdworks hasn't said he'd stop working on the game), so it's almost certain this is just F95Zone's rule coming into play. That said, it has been quite awhile since the latest update was released. NW is generally pretty damned slow in update speed. So he might very well still be working on this; it's hard to know b/c he doesn't communicate that well to provide news for folks. He hasn't said anything on Patreon, for example, since January of this year. Still, 11 months of radio silence isn't a good sign, even if NW normally doesn't post much.

I assumed he works alone.
Still impressive. I say that, because i know how much time goes into composing a scene and setting everything up.
So i kind of can understand it.
I seen that he is getting about a 100 Dollar a month but i think he has perhaps other life events that were more important which i very much can understand.
Thanks for the information. Perhaps he will come back and let us know. I seen another game where the dev was over a year offline and came back. though i think he is silent again. lol

I love this game.

It will be both depressing and hysterical at the same time to read the endless litany of complaints that will follow as new people try this game for the first time... there is so little room in adult games for the game part.
