I thought I'd done everything right to get the Cat and Katie threesome but I was too low on Katie's score. I was able to go back and work out how to get it and... disappointment.
I also to my surprise find myself a little less interested in Cat. So I guess it's back to the beginning and change my choices. I started again already because somehow I lost all my saves and they were not in my backup, leading me to believe I may have intentionally deleted them to force a restart. But this time while I made good progress with Helen, Anne, and Cat, I missed Rachel entirely. And if it's because I can only pursue two or three, I'd now pick Rachel over Cat.

Actually this variety in the girls is what makes this game stand out, in my opinion.
And I find the dynamic between Cat and Katie, with Cat involving the MC to push Katie along a path of (hopefully well-meaning) corruption, quite hot.

Who said it isn't one (not for this scene, but for the future)?
While you won't be able to pursue all girls at the same time, for now I don't think there's much in the way of making progress with both of them.

I was referring to spending time gaining points with Katie that, for me, wasn't rewarding when I did not need to in order to gain points with Cat or get any scenes with her that interest me.
I don't know that this blocked me from scenes with other girls I am more interested in, but I know something in my choices this time around lost me at least one scene with Rachel that I got last time. So I'm going back to try again.

I *think* parts of Texas are still experiencing power outages due to hurricane Beryl. I believe he mentioned he's in eastern Texas. Hopefully that is the only reason and he's okay.
At the beginning you get a message on your cell phone with a link to a YouTube video. Is that a virus?

As always, work on the next update is quiet but steady. Still, Zargon's focus recently was a little more on the upcoming update of his other game, Young Again. Based on the current render count, we might be about a third to half through the next update, maybe, but it depends on where we finally decide to make the cut which we haven't done yet. Pretty surely a winter update once again, but I won't say anything more concrete until we really know more.
There are women-only lesbians and there are women who identify as lesbians because they strongly prefer women but will sometimes enjoy sex or even enter into a relationship with a cis-gender man based on an emotional connection. It's not clear to me

Maybe Katie is bisexual, with a general preference for women but sometimes having relationships with men as well. It's possible she is less promiscuous than Cat and wants a stronger emotional connection with a man than she needs with a woman. More than she has at this time for the MC. There is some level of emotional connection with both or you would not get the scene - I missed it the first time because I had too few points with Katie - but it may not be enough.
I would like to think that if she goes further with the MC in future it will be for the reasons you're proposing.
That doesn't change my decision. I'm not interested in pursuing someone who presents as not wanting it. If she wasn't interested because she needed a stronger connection, she could have said that. What was said is that she has no interest in men. This story requires making choices, and she's given me a reason not to choose her. I will pursue others instead. From now my focus will be Helen, Anne, and Rachel.

Reasons for all of the girls' behaviors will be uncovered as the story progresses. Most do run deeper than they might seem now.
That being said, it is a very valid choice not to pursue Katie as she clearly stated no interest in men now, so for you quorkboy , this might be the right choice. If you want to, replay the game at a later time with a different focus and see if that changes anything for you. The game is definitely meant to be replayable and go for different girls. It should be quite obvious by now that going for all of the girls at once can't work out anyway, since you can't be everywhere all at once and they are looking for different things (like the different traits).
