We've completed the "on-hold" list which tbh, was quite dated. We're working on finishing the abandoned list now, less than 2,000 remaining.

We'll probably end up around 13,000 torrents.

One of our providers is having networking issues at their datacenter on the US West Coast, this means one of our proxies is offline.
We're not sure how long it'll take them to fix it. It'll affect most of the US West coast and parts of Asia

If you have a VPN, connect to an EU server and everything will still be running fine. Hopefully it won't take much longer.

time for another quick recap of the last days!

first the good news, our discord server is steadily growing!
we have over 2200 members already and might even beat moonbox's server soon! :catnothehe:
we also got a new member, volf3n! and he is as much of a perverted fucker as we are, so a perfect match :catkek: .

ah and we more or less finished all the games that are marked as abandoned on f95!

now back to business. as you may know, in order to keep torrents up and running, we gotta pay for seeding machines, storages and also bandwidth as well as nodes.
the energy crisis however forced companies we are working with to increase their prices, obviously causing a dent into our plans to grow with our current setup (@cake is helping out a lot there!).
we are cutting corners as much as we can, but some community help wouldnt hurt. :crythumbsup:
and personally i would love to see the donations distributed evenly. if e.g. only half of the community pays one buck, we would have like 1k! rpdl would be drooling a river!

this way you will get the option to cancel your monthly sub whenever you want as stripe doesnt have that option on default.

last but not least: black friday is coming soon. if we net positive again, we will check for some deals to enhance our system. if not, maybe we can strike a deal or two to slim down our costs even more.

We've passed 11,500 torrents. There's about 1,000 left in the abandoned list currently. I was hoping we'd get it finished during this week but shit happens, the crunch continues

A few Russian people have noticed connectivity issues to our tracker, if you're Russian and use our torrents already, please get in contact - I just need to gather more information to see if it's a DNS block or something else.

edit: should be resolved now, rotated out a bad proxy.

We're on a push for new funding atm, I'll copy across the message I left on Discord:

hey guys, we added a small banner on dl.rpdl.net to get us a little kick in the ass regarding donations. last month was rough, we had a considerable drop. like cake said above, things are getting that bit more expensive for all of us so we don't expect people to break the bank - always put yourself first.
there's a few black friday deals we (the team) want to take advantage of so if we manage to get a bump today, we'll snag it and upgrade some of our hardware. we're also in talks with one of our providers to save some money so fingers crossed everything goes smoothly.
we're ~350 torrents away from completing the archive so we should be finished by the end of november
apart from that, no other news

We went a bit insane today and got a lot done. We've ~150 remaining but there's also 6-700 that people have assigned to themselves which I forgot about. Either way, it's not a lot left.

Crossed 12,000 12,200 torrents today too!

Sorry for the late reply, I have email issues so I didn't get updated. If you don't see peers here's how you fix it:

1. Delete the torrent from your client
2. logout from dl.rpdl.net
3. log back in again
4. Download the torrent fresh
5. add the _new_ torrent to your client

that'll resolve it every time
