I think I figured how to beat the Wind Guardian. Sailor fully equipped against physical damage can probably tank it, but I don't know if she can hit hard enough to defeat it before the guardian powers up too much.
I guess I need to grind the sword outfit until 30 to get the sword mastery passive.
The game is too grindy, but Luna is a fun evil goofball so it counters that boredom.

EDIT:
Won, I needed to grind until I had enough bonus skill to get Bottom Power lv5 and Def lv4.
Sailor outfit.
Initial weapon was the gun that has lower accuracy, but high attack and crit.
Initial Card was the Man Eater card (atk + 10%)
Initial accessories were that thing that lowers phys damage by 30%, Lamia Shield (def +10) and Sniper Glasses (Accuracy + 35).
Doing the Charge that uses 6 letters and Shoot (high) until I couldn't hit it anymore (each time you hit the Wind Guardian, it's atk and speed raises).
After that I swapped the gun for Hope Sword and Man Eater card for Golem. I used Aim and that long Charge skill, followed by Thrust (High).
At the end I swapped the Hope Sword for the lightning gun, that one with lower atk but higher accuracy. I used the short Charge (the one that only uses 3 letters), the aim + crit and Shoot (High).
I landed 3 lucky crits.

To get the swordman outfit, you need to have Thief at Level 15 and the Seahorse. Go to the Thieves' Guild (south east corner of the town, just ride the horse in to town via the docks). You have to win the outfit at the card table, need to win 9 rounds in a row. Not too hard, but you can get served terrible cards. Just reload if it fucks you.
This is quite possibly the worst minigame I have ever seen in any game. Good lord, who thought making the player have to win so many times in a row with no saving in between was a good idea?

Literally lost a round because it was a 2, I said high, and I drew a fucking 1.

You don't need to win everything, is easy to get the sword outfit.
Winning everything on the other hand, even with card counting the luck involved is ridiculous, I was lucky that the last 4 cards were guaranteed win for me. With that said, the final prize, Secret Mask, is good, but useless against the 4 guardians bosses and the final boss of that ruin.
Just play until you get the sword outfit and take the prize instead of keep gambling.

Has anyone figured out the cooking minigame in the inn? Every combination I've tried just fails and gives Dark Matter.

What is the recommended level?
My levels are:
Thief 27
Mage 28
Sword 24
Mage 28
Maid 15
Sister 27
Sailor 15
Phantom 21
Naked 31
I can't hit the guardians hard enough to defeat them before they gather so much power that Luna gets one shotted.
I used naked, you can use pat pat first to reduce it's energy, it will make it harder to dodge and your atk hit harder.

Defeated all the guardians.
Fire with Naked.
Ice with Mage.
Earth with Mage.
Wind with Sailor.

Wind was the hardest because each time it gets hit, its damage and avoidance raises. Sailor was the only one who can tank it reliably, but has very bad accuracy so I had to make every hit count. I had to grind some levels to get enough def + passive and Bottoms Power maxed.
Ice, Fire and Earth was abusing the elemental resistance since their most dangerous attacks are element based. With Ice, you had to make sure to hit it before it uses reflect. I had to grind mage until I unlocked God Wind.

The final guardian was the easiest, especially since it doesn't get stronger as it gets hits so you can stall.
First third of its hp, it attacks with low damage phys and weak lightning, just equipping mag resistance equipment is enough.
Second third of its hp, it attacks with mid damage phys and mid ice, just equipping ice resistance equipment (up to 75%) is enough.
Last third of its hp, it attacks with high phys and high fire, just equipping fire resistance equipment (up to 75%) is enough.
Against its physical attacks, use Kiai until you have more than 100 energy before it attacks and after it uses magic. It will always cast a buff removal (above 100 energy is counted as buff), wasting that phys attack so you only have to take care about its magical attacks.
Put some BPOT when necessary or change equipment. An example of the path would be something like this:
HEALKIAIGO
DWINDKIAIH
EALKIAIFHL
KIAIGODWIN
DFHLKIAIHE
ALBPOTKIAI
Since this strategy needs to use an elemental wand and a card to defend against magic, you can only play around with the accessories. I used the mag resistance, the half mp book and the mp regen diamond.

No companions. Luna goes alone all the time. She is a bit too murder crazy to get a companion. The revive is a joke.
The water horse is gotten at the mansion (north of the place with kangaroos. Interact with the signpost near the mansion (or talk to the guy nearby) so Luna will get the idea of infiltrating as a maid. Follow the quest until the end and you will get the water horse. I recommend defeating the bodyguard because it drops Katana, a nice sword for the moment (before you get Sword of Hope). Also steal from that bodyguard. It's hard so you have to use guard and heal smartly.

What class is good for defeating the guy that curses you? Cause my mage doesnt do much damage even i got almost every spell and then he heals all the damage i do to him anyway and then the curse gets stronger and stronger and kills me

...amusingly, Mage. Stack Magic increasing gear and spam Godwind. At around 90 Magic and with Mage Knowledge, it dealt 500 per hit when he defended and a whopping 1500 on turns when I caught him before he could guard.

what i did was cook crab with the venom, that at least clear that side quest
I've used that exact combo but I still only get Dark Matter.

Most combinations of food with poison will give you a buff or mp restore item with poison side effect. Try another combo.
To get this mini quest completed, you need to make a poison dish.
After that, you can try making normal dishes (2 beef, 2 lizard meat, 2 eggs, eggs with pretty much any combo, 2 slug eggs, bag with slime, etc).

Your game is probably bugged then.
What you have to do to get the maid knowledge:
Maid lv15.
Talking to cook at the kitchen in the inn (with the maid outfit), say yes.
Cook a poisoned food then talk to the cook again. There will be two guys unconscious.
After that, you can use the kitchen however you want.

If that doesn't work, then you should download the game again, the original version was bugged.

EDIT: Forgot to say that you are not missing much. The food buff is useless, at least not before new game + in lunatic mode and I don't even know if the food is useful in that mode anyways.
The maid knowledge is not that good either because her outfit doesn't give good buffs, because she is an attack/magic specialist and you prefer one or the other, not both.

I only downloaded the game two days ago so it should be the most recent version, but either way, I used a save editor to give myself a poisoned food and turned that in.

On another note, anyone know if there's a continuation to the ninja side quest after he says he's returning to his homeland? Luna's comments make me think it's not the end quite yet, but I haven't found any sign of a way to continue it. I've also noticed quite a few items in the save editor I'm missing despite fully clearing the ruins, pirate hideout, and final dungeon...not sure if there's any other dungeon or quests I'm missing.

1-After encounter with golem, run away -> go to the guild -> go to the snow north where the mage's house is at -> kick his azz or become his guinea pig -> you became a mage, congratulations!
Tried on version 1.1, still cant do that
Maybe some problems with quest trigger?
List of my actions:
1) Go to the golem and try to hit
2) Go back to the guild (there are no new dialogues here)
3) Go to the mountains (its too cold to go through them)
What am I doing wrong?

I think you're jumping the gun a bit. Finish the bounty on the Devil Beasts first, then think about unlocking Mage.

Some items can only be acquired by using steal. Some items are dropped by missable bosses like the bodyguard from the mansion and the pirate cave have a missable sword depending on whether you decide to beat the boss or make Luna his sex slave.

How to get all outfit? Missing a few of them
Maid - talk to the woman in the church, finish the sidequest and she give it to you
Mage and Maid - follow the main story to get it
Sailor - in the graveyard area in town across from the church, go stright down past the girl and interact with the hidden merchant
swordsman - thief needs to be LV15 so you can enter in the area in town when you get to travel on water and then win 9 times on the BS high low card game.
Naked - just keep unequping the outfit till she gives up.
Phantom thief - not entirely sure but i think you need all the others first and then find a pirate ship on the map
