Of all the FFXIV porn shared over Twitter and everywhere else, people think this is going to be the last straw that removes porn mods? Good to see the FF community is still doing everything they can to remind everyone in every nook and cranny of the internet how utterly unhinged and contemptible they are.

Haven't played it, but as for initial suggestions, I'd add a few more preview screenshots for people to get a feel for what things are like.

Honestly, this is any big name game's community: the troggs who treat games like they are literally more important than their entire family will scare people away faster than any bad dev choices/marketing/whatever. There's a great deal of irony in the current climate of people complaining about not actually owning their games (mind you, I'm not a fan of owning "rights" to a game instead of actually owning a copy), yet here we have people mindlessly attacking someone over using modded assets to make some smut. Something that isn't even being sold. I'll bet you they're more than happy to shell out $100 to Square for another shitty bikini transmog though

It might just be me, but all the images look like they are in the wrong aspect ratio. Everything looks squished in horizontally.

because the body mod isn't even made by OP, and I highly doubt people who created those expected users to take and use it for their own games. It's one thing to take customizable asset for personal use, but completely different story when you use asset from people who likely explicitly forbid sharing or public use.

Most of the body makers will not give a fuck, and if they did, it would be their job to say something (not you)

Oh wow you had my same idea I was also thinking about creating a game using modded ffxiv screenshots (although mine was built in ren'py) ... but then I halted the whole idea when I thought that square enix might "dislike" this.

You should do it! I'd recommend rpg maker. Much more freedom and creative possibilities. If you don't mind the stigma from mouth breathers lol

I gave a quick look at your game, it's very well done... and actually is pretty close to what I was creating

My idea was also focused around "stories" (instead of a combat based game with game over scenes) but I wanted to create a more "procedural approach" (ideally creating an "always slightly different story" each time) which in my opinion is only possible when you have full control on the code... Which I think I can only achieve in ren'py...

Interesting, I've been modding this game for a few years myself and ngl, I thought about trying to do something like this as a personal project lol, I don't think its a huge deal some folks are making it out to be since you know koikatsu, Honey select even Skyrim are a thing, this could probably be fun with all the mods and shader options the game has, will try it out.
