I downloaded his latest release directly from his site (this week). My old save worked fine. Perhaps, he resolved the issue...

Maybe, but enough people complained here that it seems unlikely. There's still bad code.

These stats won't properly save because they're not defaulted. So even if your save loads, if these variables are checked in the new version, you're probably not getting the correct results.
