Speaking of the KP inspired combat, really the biggest issue with it is, from what we see, Saria isn't the kind to ever engage in using the sexual attacks herself.
That being said, I always felt that was the biggest flaw with KP using it at all either. Karryn, as a character introduced, isn't the type to do it.
But the mechanic exists because its something the players would want her to do.

I mean, that's what corruption mechanics are all about I suppose.

How I rationalize it is that her disposition depends on the player. If she's going out of her way to be groped and raped, she's not actually against being groped and raped. If you're not going out of you way to have her groped and raped, you can basically taunt prisoners to keep them from using sexual moves. And if she wants to fuck around and find out instead of running away when she's low on stamina, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Yeah, some people were insanely entitled in the Discord from what i heard. They don't realize artists like these can make enough money by just doing single art commissions on pixiv and posting art on fanbox/ci-en.

When they're rude and these games with a lot of effort get abandoned everyone but the Artist loses.

Well not as many artists as you think, it's a very saturated and competitive market where only the top artists with the most flexible acceptance rate for kinks do well, though he looks talented enough to be there.

But yes, getting flak certainly wouldn't keep anyone's motivation up. However, it's still partially his blame. This is like kickstarter drama. You have to understand if people give you say $500 over time adding up among multiple people to like half a mil to make what looks like a really cool survival horror game, and then you abandon it and say you're going to use that money to make a minecraft clone instead, well...

Yeah people are going to be upset. Not even a new concept, because it's happened a lot before and is partly what killed crowdfunding (along with so many of them becoming effectual scams) and why few major games use it anymore.


That doesn't mean the dev deserves to be treated like this, but the anger shoulda been anything but unexpected. I guess it hurts even more when the abandoned game really had potential.

Well, the dev made the situation worse by escalating the conflict since he acted like a douchebag and whiner about the whole drama. If he had just been civil and explained his reasonings, the hate wouldn't be this bad, so I say the dev deserved it.
