But I do have to say, AVNs and Renpy are around long enough now and I really can not comprehend why any developer would release a game without a replay-gallery...

As for the gallery, a couple of reasons:
1) Lack of time: I prefer to invest what little free time I have to work on the updates themselves - the story and images. The extra coding and testing needed for the gallery is too much of a luxury for me right now, as I've discovered recently, working on the xTz gallery in this update.
2) Lack of material: at the current state of "Saving Paula" there are very few scenes worth replaying. Combining that with reason #1 above, makes it a very low priority for me right now.

In comparision with Life in Santa County, which was started in the same time, the dev progress pace is poor, even not a slow. Wanna earn money as NLT does? Work so hard as NLT does. The talent is not enough, the diligence and hard working are nececcery.

In defense I know that nlt and lisc developers have made game developing their main job. Most of the developers here have regular full time jobs.

Whoever he is (and how many of them there are) - they're doing a great job.
Perhaps someday I'll see fit to make this my main gig, but for now I'm quite happy.

Man, just keep going. I really hope you don’t abandon this VN. More frequent updates would be much appreciated, but if that’s not possible right now, keep going at your own pace. Just don’t give up on it. This is a gem and deserves to be completed someday.
