MrKnobb i have unlimited d/l..i can d/l 100 tb a month if want..my speed is average to fast depending...BUT..i'm selective about which games i d/l the full(yes i always d/l the full of RTP) and it is dependent on game quality...games in the upper realms like BaDIK,CoBD,Betrayed..games like those..with exceptional renders and quality..i always d/l the full..but a good 90% of the games on this site are not of that quality and a compressed version makes no noticable difference on my system..its a pick and choose for me..this game Scarlet Spire..got the full d/l..its a beauty...for people with d/l caps each month..compressed is only way to go..and..some of those people have been known to support games with bucks...so..having both options full and compressed is a win win for all and not an insult..if it spreads the game to an audience twice as big..whats the bad in that?This game btw needs a wider audience...a crying shame its "no sexual content" is a trigger for so many..because they are missing out on a spiffy as heck story ... Avaron1974 Moria play this and spread the name around..ya..theres no boinking..but i know you two and many others enjoys a well told story with choices that matter to make it an actual game also.

What's coming in Chapter 9 and the Thinline?

Every soul that has been following our Patreon and/or Discord are by now aware that the last month and this month, we have been - technically - working on two fronts to deliver both the regular monthly Scarlet Spire chapter - and the Thinline spin-off. Thinline is nearing completion, and Chapter 9 is done well over half.
Chapter 9 continues pretty much where Chapter 8 left us with a cliffhanger, and puts us straight into action. It will also clear some things, and answer some questions, and will pave a way for the future Chapters, which are going to have a higher and higher pace to them, the nearer they become to the ending. Chapter 9 is, in some ways, the last Chapter to feature more relaxed atmosphere, before the momentum that was building up through several last chapters take over for the Chapter 10, and on wards.
Chapter 9 will also show us more about certain key side characters. The storytelling will continue the same way it has been in previous chapter, through different transitions, changing of pace, animations and even more information about our favorite characters and company will be revealed.
Chapter 9 is scheduled for a release date of 15th, this month, for our Patrons of the second tier and higher.
What is happening with Thin Line?
Thinline has been the heavy focus ever since the last release, and we have put more effort to complete it this month.
Thinline is also visually a bit different then Scarlet Spire main game.
We have made a short list of questions and answers about Thinline, that will hopefully tell you more about the project:
- What exactly is Scarlet Spire - Thinline?
Thinline is a side spin-off set inside Spire-verse, but following a different protagonist.
- What timeline is Thinline set in?
Thinline is set before the beginning of Scarlet Spire.
- What kind of protagonist is Thinline following?
As a contrast to Scarlet Spire, Thinline follows a male protagonist.
- What kind of game is Thinline in essence?
Thinline is more of a action and comedy visual novel, it's less about atmosphere, and more about action, and situations we find our protagonist and his friend in. The game is an adventure packed with funny situations and circumstances, with comedy breaks, and some great and perhaps intentionally-cheesy action sequences reminding us of action movies from yesteryears we have all grown up on.
- When is Thinline set to release?
While we currently still don't have a date set in stone, Thinline will definitely release at the second half of this month - after the release of our Chapter 9.
- Who will get Thinline?
All our current Patrons, patroned from the beginning of this month - will get Thinline. Likewise, if someone Patrons throughout this month, of course will also get a Thinline.
- Will Thinline be released for free?
Just like giveaways, the Spin-offs were imagined to be a gift to Patrons. They are not needed to understand Scarlet Spire main story, as they don't really follow the main SS protagonist as well. While there might be same characters in both, and spin-offs might show us more about these characters, the ongoing story of Scarlet Spire will be presented fully inside the main game, and as such, the spin-offs aren't necessary -- they are more a cherry on top, if you will. And they are our way to say Thank You to people that decided to part with their hard earned money, to support us.
- Which Patrons tiers will get Thinline?
All of them.
- Is this the only such spin-off planned?
No, Thinline is definitely not the only spin-off of Scarlet Spire planned.
