They set the date of Summer memories DLC on Jan 9 so I doubt we would get any news from Summer color before that. I guess we need to wait at least 2 weeks from now, if not a full month.

And I think playing the MTL version is not a good idea (maybe not for some people). I would rather patiently wait than playing with that crap translation and let it ruins my mood. Mood is very important for video games, not just porn games, and you want to play the game with best experience, not frustration.

I thought he said he was considering it, but I don't believe anything is set in stone yet. Definitely focusing on Tina 2 first.

Would be nice. There are several things that felt like they were missing. More events where the heroine spend the whole day with one guy and they are constantly on the move. There are 2-3 routes that feel a lot weaker then the others. Maybe include the sister in more events. Two characters come over regurarely after their story, so it would been interesting if they started something with her.

Hope they will not postone the release much longer. It would be fine if the developer would add some additional content for the english release (I think someone did that in one of their first project), but it's highly unlikely. At least they had the sense of removeing the "coming soon" logo from the banner. Still have it in the games page but that is much less in your face XD

Whole game has such a structure he could easily add like a 999 additional routes and there would still be place for more. There are houses which are unavailable, swimsuit is basically just on a mainscreen, world map has a lot of place and plenty of wasted space here and there. I'd love for more (some fat nerd, grandpa from the store with your sister, some bath scenes with onsen would be amazing) and I hope for it. Still, as far as I understand dev is willing to create some short story from unused material after Tina 2 and begin another game which basic idea is similiar to Kotoka. It's cool cuz Kotoka was pretty good and with how he improved it can be amazing. I still hope he'll go after Summer 2 or DLC to this one cuz it's one of the best h games I've seen.

100% agree with you, not only is he doing really good games, hes still improving a lot with each one, if you compare the older ones with this one.
Every day im checking his twitter in hopes of Tina 2/Scars of Summer DLC/new events.

You can find much more info here:
It's his blog. Click follow under his profile picture and Google translate should help quite a bit. He's posting relatively often

I'm holding out for the translation before I make any recommendations myself, but even without the translation you can feel the game is lacking in multiple areas (game difficulty, scenes, story development).

game difficulty? elaborate. I feel like it's the perfect """difficulty"""

The biggest threat are the exclamation points that trigger npc routes and they can easily be avoided or ignored. I think one thing the creator could implement with dlc content are more date specific criteria for additional routes, which gives the game more H content and causes the player to take a step back and think about what they should do on a specific day. An example would be if the player does not raise a certain amount of money by a certain day, then a new route would trigger automatically like Ryoka working part time at a maid cafe or bar. Just a thought.

The thing with difficulity is kind of wierd :p Look at certain features in the game, stat screen that shows who she thinks about, hearts indicate how her feelings are changing, there is a calendar and a time limit, you can bring her along with you to see little events, you need to collect certain points and use those to get a good ending, you have a phone so you can check on her. The whole thing feels like a set up, where you have to manage your time to build stats, spend time with her, protect her from other guys and if you fuck up, you get an NTR scene. If you did a bad job the whole game, you get a bad end. That would be where the difficulity pops in, for example you need money to raise some stats, so you start doing a job at a store but oh no, that also introduces a guy and doubles you problems. This is where a difficulity would come in. When to do things and what to to do, so she doesn't spend time with other guys.

Instead we got a straight forward game where you either just spend time with her and collect stats to get a good end or start the NTR routes and just stalk her. You are never forced to make a decision on how to deal with the current situations.

To me it felt like the developer wanted to make a management game so he laid all the fundations but decided to not go through with it at the end, so just made a simple NTR game.

Well, difficulty is non-existent in this one cuz to trigger any route you have to talk with someone. You just don't talk with marked characters and routes are off. I wouldn't mind forced route like someone mentioned that would trigger if you didn't do something on a specific day. For now game is really easy and that's nothing all that troublesome cuz it's not supposed to be hard.

This is exactly how I see it as well. NTR, for what it is, naturally lends itself to a sort of trial and error avoidance game design. You'd be trying your best to get with the girl and gain her favor, but the game itself is trying to make you fail, introducing new characters to turn her head and placing additional rocks in your path. It's a game after all, and having something to manage and having a goal and a fail condition makes it that much more exciting. Instead unless you specifically seek it out, nothing will ever happen.

Like others have said, this dev is very talented and keeps improving, but for me Summer Scars probably ultimately falls a little short of what it could - or perhaps should - be. It's great, but just not "game" enough. Although, despite this, I think his stuff is still far above most other NTR games I've seen.

I normally wait for the barely understandable mtl translated games to get a proper translation but last night I just couldn't wait any longer only got 4 hours of sleep then had to go to work but damn was it worth it I love this game. Definitely day one buy for me cant wait till I can understand most of what's going on other than the obvious corruption. But seriously this mtl is worse than humpty dumpty after his great fall.

If you still find its great even when playing with mtl then I dont know how I would feel when the translated version out. I will completely wait for it though. I have already been waiting for 3 months, I can wait for more.
