The game is written in Russian. English is translated from Russian. Honestly, this is the first time I hear complaints that Russian is translated through GT. I suspect that you are being misinformed either by a troll or by a person who does not know Russian.
I figured as much, and I'm not complaining, there's not much to be done if the people making the game don't know enough of the language they used a machine for. English is hard, one of the hardest languages to learn as a second language.
I was making an educated guess based on the writing system used by the non-English parts of the game (like a few untranslated lines from Yuki's park scene) while trying not to mistake it as Russian in case it was not (though it seems I was correct thinking it is Russian, as you pointed out). I also used websites that are all about learning languages and the differences between them.

The thing is, F95 seems to only have Russian as a language, either that or the language listed in the first post can be changed like any text can and there just aren't other games that use other languages of the Slavic family of languages. That's why I was being careful not to assume this game was Russian, I HAVE made the mistake of thinking a Taiwanese game was Japanese.

I say this because I increasingly see funniness among Ukrainian speakers: they think we don't understand them, lol. However, often this misunderstanding boils down to the fact that we do not want to understand Ukrainian, we do not need it.
Most languages can be added here, but, for example, I can't understand either Polish, Serbian. There are individuals who understand something, but this is an exception. And then, again, many Ukrainians will say that they understand these languages "out of the box", but they will simply lie. To understand these languages, they need to get used to them. Exactly the same as us to their language. Although, undoubtedly, it will be easier for them in this case.
