Same for me, ( win 10) I did as the instructions say, and then I click on the .exe file and it looks like the game is going to start but then it gets as far as this View attachment 2445636 and then crashes to the folder contents view.

For me, it crashed on startup after Unity logo. Just a CtD with no errors whatsoever. Event log mentions "lib_burst_generated.dll" error, with the file being under "SeasideMystery17\Seaside Mystery_Data\Plugins\x86_64". After replacing "lib_burst_generated.dll" with the file from v16 version (same location), the game seems to work fine. - try that
