That's all I need. Tbh NTS includes a lot of stuff I don't find particularly savoury, essentially anything that paints the MMC as a simp or a submissive is a turnoff. I've played this game before and think it's not the case, but it's been a while. Everyone's red lines are different and I wanted to ask first, rather than whine about it later Thanks!

Thanks for this specific insight. I wish they'd talk about it instead. If the FMC is enjoying it and the MMC isn't, I don't care what the definitions say - makes him miserable BUT he bites the bullet, gives his approval, is that why it's not NTR? Fuck it, it is, I agree. The main thing is whether the scene is designed to cause negative emotions or not. What follows isn't criticism of this game, haven't even played the scene that you described. Just a rant loosely about why I think stating a game is NTR/NTS doesn't give you sufficient information.

A guy who secretly cries instead of facing people and facts is a simp. I mean, sure, characters can break down an humans do, but should get a grip on themselves and deal with it at the first opportunity. That's exactly the kind of scene/outcome I want to avoid, where the main character looks weak, or coping at best, if we're not given a chance to set things straight.

And that's why "NTS" is not sufficiently descriptive to me. A lot of "NTS" is still about submissive cuckoldry, humiliation, cruelty, simping. I like a broad sample of games where you can share your partner/LI, including ones where the FMC doesn't ask for "permission" before everything she does, as long as there's perfect understanding and the main characters remain mainly attracted to each other. It's a fantasy, for sure, where characters are adventurous and depraved but never get hurt. Don't care about the "realism ideology" that sustains that a majority of open relationships end in break-up, I prefer games that make me feel good. Pure escapism.

I actually think the scene you describe is BETTER than the MC having absolutely no reaction to the girls' doings, as with most "brothel sims" - just wish they'd gone all the way and made it a conversation between the main couple. If one of them is not ok with something, they shouldn't pretend to be, it makes them feel submissive and creates UNRESOLVED tension. They should talk about it and resolve the conflict. It also suggests that the FMC engaging in scenes like that doesn't spare a thought for her husband, which is strange (but normal in brothel sims) and feels like their relationship isn't all that tight.

I guess, ultimately, what I mean is that, for me to enjoy it fully, a game that has a roleplay element doesn't need to be "clean" of negative events, as long as the respective resolution is also presented and, at least as a roleplay option, the MMC can assert his displeasure and draw out a positive reaction from the FMC. Preferably, without blocking future content, but perhaps changing the characters' attitudes going into certain scenes (not sure how technically viable that is) Obviously, if the MMC is also sleeping around, the reciprocal is also true, the FMC could have her boundaries, too. As long as they communicate and show that their relationship matters.

Don't know how much this would be "complicating" the game, perhaps the gameplay is meant to be much more simple than that, but since there's also roleplay elements, and one of the main features is the ability to have the FMC (and other girls) offer sex to customers, tone and details do matter in how characters are perceived and how (at least, some) players experience events.

But for this game, each update = 0.01 so tracing it back to the start of the year, it was a version 0.8.4x, now it's 0.8.54 (and the fact that DEV took like a few months break this year) so it still means the game has like more than 10 updates already

Boot up the game and tell me what scene this is, so I can check it for myself in the scene gallery. I don't remember anything like this at all. Everyone's having a good time in my playthrough, I can tell you that.

It's apparently been reworked, not sure if it has or not, but it was with the football fans.

Yeah, basically there's this triangle pin mechanic where you have to go out of your way to buy and then gift an item for you to enable the nts stuff and its per girl so. That said there's two astericks where only the blonde is your gf at the start, so debatable if givin the pins to the other girls is nts and not just pimping. The second is you are missin some content in the form of the backroom stuff like the glory hole and stripper pole if you never give the pins to anyone.

Sounds like you'll actually really enjoy this game then. The original person you're responding to seems to not have played the game in a very long time, as his description of that scene is somewhat simplified and off base imo. I just watched it to make sure. They do in fact also have a whole conversation about it after and it's very clear, as with all other girls in this game, that the girls have absolute loyalty to the MC first and foremost. You can see part of a scene where the MC "didn't like it" but in fact actually did like it as its part of his own type of corruption into this debauchery. The sharing element gives way to corruption to both the MC and the girls, but not to any sort of point where NTR comes into play. There is no NTR in this game. They will never leave the MC and nor he them. They will drop any sharing should the MC ask, but the MC will never ask because he enjoys it at the end of the day and that's kind of the main point of the whole series of sharing events, it's not just the girl getting corrupted by it, but the MC too. Some of the random clients even talk about how they're all crazy, MC included.

The MC complains when they don't send him pictures and even joins in on multiple swinging events, including the follow up event to the one the person you replied to referenced. There's also a lot the same balance in reverse with the girls and the MC. The swinging goes both ways and each girl has their own take on things and goes through their own arc about this, along with the MC.

You'll have to play it to get the full context, but all in all its a good game and I think it does the swinging element pretty well without needing to jump into any actual NTR territory. It's a good balance and the characters are all pretty nuanced.
