I alway have to laugh when devs are being accused of milking money of their supporters on here.

Coz those evil devs do it at gun point. ;)

How long is the period of notice for paytron? I tell ya it ain't 24 months like with a mobile fon contract. ;)

I find it annoying in the sense that it feels they are taking for granted that patreon subscribers are idiots. I mean, if you could figure out the super advance, mysterious and genius evil plan that dev devised in the legion of doom headquarters with Palpatine, Voldermort, Sauron and Miracle (from SuperWriter visual novel Picture Perfect), then I think I can figure it out too. If I still want to give my money to these evil overlords, that is my problem.

So i just played old the old versionof chapter 2 and the new release of chapter 1 and if i am honest not only did i like the old hairstyles of Carol (her old clothes also were better fitting for her character) and Leanne more, even the old house was better in my opinion. After that i have to say, and this is just my opinion, the time for the rework was wastet.

Some of the reload is nice, but tbh, I miss the old coral look. It made more sense to me. What sucks is 6 months from the end of chapter 2 and we have a reload of chapter 1. I'm glad 3 will be in two weeks. What most people get upset with is they want to see more content over rehashed content that does nothing to Improve the game over small asthetics.

With all the "reloaded" games this past year or so I can understand why the "milking" has been a term thrown about so much. The Gift? Reloaded and no updates. Bastard Girls? Redone for the 3rd? 4th? time may as well be abandoned again this list goes on and just as many reloads are abandoned or in limbo than legitimately improved. It's not a bad idea to update the images now while the game is in it's early stages, but I doubt anyone would complain if the reload included chapter 2 and 3 in one go. I all but forgot about this game anyways since it's been 6 months since I played the last chapter.

I dont think devs intentionally milk games so much as they get caught up in the dissatisfaction midway. In reality it would probably be wiser to finish the current project as is and make those improvments on the next project instead of quitting halfway or pointless redo's (emphasis on pointless, some redo's have improved games significantly)

I think that is something you can only determine case by case. I doubt there is a one rule fit all, as the state of games, fanbase, support base and production possibilities of devs are quite different. Is not the same to redo Ecchi Sensei (I mentioned it as it is in your signature and fits the example perfectly, not because I think it should) and turn it to daz, for example, than to redo the two chapters of secret summer that was currently on hold. On one direction, the first seemed to be a way monumental task compared to the second. On the other direction, Ecchi Sensei is developed by a team with bluecat leading the project, while Superwriter does pretty much all himself. So there is this and there is that.

I really don't see the problem with what happened here and I think it was the right move to do it once and for all if dev had made the decision.

I totally agree with you. In most games I use the transparent box mod. I think he was just trying to simulate the beach, though. But yeah, takes too much space.
Me too the screenshot without one is from the 1st version with the mod. It doesn't work on the new one or I would have just went with it. I like this game too much to keep clicking "h" every screen so I am happy that SW will do a retouch.

You hit the nail on the head. Dev's have a tendency to see every flaw in there work things that fans may or may not notice and want to go back and fix it. In most cases, devs will make slight changes along the course of the game look at most games first updates vs. their current ones

I haven't tried yet, but I had some problems with the transparent mod in the past. You may want to try downloading the other version of the mod. That one seemed to be more compatible. I might try it later and confirm whether it works or not.

I really can't speak for other devs, but when I started developing this game, I was a baby. And I made a ton of mistakes with the lighting and everything else. And now that I am more comfortable with being a developer, and I have the funds to buy assets that you guys have probably never seen before, that's why l I am reworking the game.

the game was on hold for the last six months and I literally just decided to start working on it a FEW WEEKS AGO. And I'm already putting out a brand new chapter this month, ALONG WITH the 2 reworked chapters that is literally taking 2 weeks to do. Not 2 months or even 1, TWO WEEKS.

But you know the funny thing? Everybody complaining gets the game for free while I have 300 patrons that have supported me and have voted on all the clothes and hair and everything else you see.

So I'm sorry but I care about their opinion way more because they allow me to do this full-time and actually make the games.

And I have updated the textbox to make it much more readable!

I know you have a lot on your plate with PP and everything that you're doing with that. I would guess that it's less that people are upset with you for reworking old stuff as it is:
After a long downtime, not seeing anything "new" is very disheartening.

I appreciate your commitment to make your games the best possible (though I still mute the voices on PP), and I can see you're working hard to get the rework done as fast as possible to get to the next stage. I can't wait to see how this develops now that you have the money, equipment and assets to put into it.

This game has already had it's fair share of upsets because of you having to scrap your old "Parent Trap" style plot and transform it into one single character. So the frustration of the players is understandable, but I don't believe anyone should doubt your commitment to your games.

This game was literally ABANDONED until a few weeks ago. I was not going to continue it. But after seeing how much people liked it, I decided to start again. I would imagine people would be happy that I'm continuing the game at all.

Stuff like this is just really bothers me when I am trying my hardest to make the the best possible and people only complain. I can understand if you don't like the game, but they do enjoy the game, and they are angry because I want to make the best version of the game. Damn, man

You want to make a developer quit and dishearten him, this is definitely a good way to do it lol.

Thank you, Superwriter, for restarting this game. And yes, there are about 50 pages of incest games out there. But... (numbers out of my ass)... that's 50 x 20 / page = 1000 incest games. Here's my breakdown.

* is something that Superwriter does NOT do.

Starter = 1000 incest Porn games.

*Remove obvious cash grab = 500.
*Remove Buggy mess = 250.
*Remove Engrish = 128.
*Remove FUGLY renders = 64.
*Remove Incest in name only (no actual relationship dialogue) = 32.
*Remove rape / night creep = 16.
*Remove incest couple being only 1 of many non incest love interests = 8.

NOTE that Superwriter does NONE of the above, hence the asterisk.

That 8 is probably broken down to Mom-son: 5, Bro-sis:2, Dad-daughter:1.

Add pregnancy and that number is way down even further. (I DID say numbers out of my ass). So... extra points Superwriter for not only restoring a great game, but actually making this game as well as another game that's D/D (Picture perfect).

Thanks again.

Just block out the hate, I can't wait to see what happens in this story. You're talented dev, so keep up the hard work and know there are people who want to see you succeed.
