Not by mine, true, not by yours maybe... But the suspension of disbelief is there for that. Its not our definition of these sentiments that matter in that world, but the dev's.

I think that's the whole point of Cherry, to give some "perspective". Whether it's the best way to do it could be debated, but she is there to give some sort of "love compass" for lack of a better word.

But the mileage of that would be different for different people.

Anyone who has been here long enough knows that there was never any discussion regarding Ella's cheating. It was either "not for me" or "oh I can't wait".

Even up until the release of 0.10 there was nothing.
As soon as 0.10 came out and I have promised to make the Jason plot optional, there came a new issue.

There won't be any change in Ella's story. You have seen how she is. You are given options to completely ignore her. Not all 4 options will suit you. I'm not making my game to please your fantasies. It's just telling a story that I have in my head. Even the Jason thing was supposed to be non-avoidable. But our financial state became so bad that we had to make a decision.

I ask my " Patrons" to play all 4 because they know me, they understand the game and I want them to see what work I have done in 6 months with the help they have provided me.

You are making your own argument dude... Nobody is asking you to change your story, nobody is asking to to make the story for them. And if you seriously think that there was never a discussion regarding Ellas cheating before this update, then you probably haven't really been reading this thread much.

Also you are kind of contradicting yourself by saying that that you're not telling your story to satisfy people and just to tell your story but then you say that you changed your story to cater to some people.

the reality a lot of people just want to please their fantasies, and the story and reason behind the characters action don't matter. As long as "their" mc could chose to act the way they want, and a "force" story beat doesn't matter.

Hell, I've seen games with complete avoidable content still get shit for stuff like in your game just because it's in the game. As if that's the only way a fetish/kink/story can be told.

If the only thing I wanted was a fantasy I honesty just watch porn or go to a game which give me just that, and if I look for something else I go tags that aren't usually my thing(pure harem, no sharing or stuff like that) as those stories are usually just copy paste of one another. But other people want to bend every story to be just their perfect fantasy.

I enjoy plenty of mindless harems, but that's all they are mindless. And for someone like me who mainly love harem, a story like yours is a breath of fresh air in a sea of copy paste games. It's not like I'm hiding my likes for harem anywhere, but I'm painfully aware of how silly they are.

It's not like the writing is perfect or I agree with everything, but I enjoy this because it's a different experience then what I usually go for.

They fought for a long time on that part being "unavoidable" but if they have to chose "living in their house" or "sticking to their porn game story" I would I assume they'll want to live in their house.

It's no secret they are force to try and gain more money from this game, as they said multiple times that their life is kinda messy at the moment. They had to remake every models of the game for months plus their family situation.

I dont exactly know for who this is directed, but in my opinion the problem i see with the game is that all the non lust paths have very little "path exclusive content" as in very little of significance happens when you reject a lust option. And that is true even from before the 4 paths branches, and in both Ella/Selina exclusive paths after that.

And i dont even mean lewd content, but content in general. Nothing much happens in the game that isnt either shared by all paths, or is in because of a lust choice. I dont think much need to be changed, but instead add stuff happening if you choose the non lust options.

Jason doesnt even have a reason to be in the game honestly. There is enough conflict without him (even too much conflict).

There's a group of people backed by bigger influencers that have been review bombing and slacking this game in any way possible since the beginning. This isn't exclusive to this site only. It's all over the internet.
I've had people tell me how there's a talk of forcing me to stop making this game so that they can take my models and put them in their own projects.

I have been backed by around 70 people all this time. Anyone in this industry knows that 70 is extremely low of a number if you are planning to make it a part of your living.
We have lost our jobs, got evicted, lost our parents and now ravaged by debts.

If making the Jason plot optional can bring 20 more backers then we would be looking to do it.
It has nothing to do with contradiction. It's called desperation. Making his plot optional or not optional doesn’t please anybody's fantasy. Ultimately both will lead to the same outcome.

i dont think making it optional but you will miss the girls will bring in more people. maybe optional as in you get the girls but jason does nothing will

Two parts. 1 is pre-determined and the other is completely player's choice based. We have had just 1 update since finishing the first part. We have completed like 55% of the game only.

Thing is, when you constantly offer two options, one has plenty of content and reward and consequences, and the other constantly lacks rewards and consequences, in my humble opinion it gets frustrating to stick to that second path and leads to less enjoyment.

I tried all paths and options (even tried to fix the mod, so went into the code), and honestly the non lust options/paths felt really unrewarding

Nothing has been changed. Jason's plot will be made optional within the next few weeks.

That will fix the mod, but you need to use a save before you get the option of using the glory hole or not in Chapter 8 on the Date with Veronica on the Cinema

So is this game simply not supposed to have a happy ending? Cause every time I pick it up and play it seems like the outcomes get worse and worse. It's quite the boner killer tbh.
